The voting is done with a first, second, and third place voting. Each category has a different voting weight. For Categories the spread is first - 10, second - 7, third - 4. For Sub-Categories the spread is first - 7, second - 4, third - 1. For Best the spread is first - 15, second - 10, third - 5.

Also, for Game of the Year Award, the total amount of the point spread from the Categories, the Best Awards and Sub-Categories would be used to figure out which game was game of the year.

Seeing as TSM is primarily a wrestling board, maybe we should make a separate category for them, just because.

It'll have to be a Sub-Category then.

And even then, it would be Showdown: Legend of Wrestling, Rumble Roses, Smackdown vs. Raw, Day of Reckoning, and one other game.

BTW, this won't be done until like January 1st, but I figured I might as well get people thinking about it early enough so that everything is prepared ahead of time.

Xenogears.

When the Bloody Hades did Xenogears get remade? I'm sorry, but even if you meant Xenosaga, the only way it'll be added is if two other people agree and then you can select which game it'll replace.

Guardian Heroes is a better Treasure game on the GBA.

I did not put the NES Classics in just because they are "Treasures", I just put them in because I honestly didn't see any other games that would at least make a difference in voting.

How about doing like the baseball awards, and have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place vote, assigning points for them (1st is 5 points, 2nd is 3, 3rd is 1, or whatever)?

Ok, that would make more sense.

This isn't the 1st.

I did this the last 2 years.

 Well then change the damn title BPS! My bad. :P

Ok, does anyone want to make any changes to the current lists? (wrestling will be edited in once I get a fifth game)

To do so, just announce which game you'd like to have put into the categories provided, make a case for the game, and then the game you wish to have removed from the category.

What I meant was that Guardian Heroes was a better game than Astro Boy since they are from the same company "Treasure". You could of put in Metal Slug or GTA Advance in there instead of the NES Classics.

Yeah, I move to knock Maximo 2 off the platform category and put Sly 2 in it's place, only because I rented Max 2, and it really blew. Like that time I made beef stew. I bought a shirt that's fairly new.....

Sorry.

Maximo vs. Zin has now been replaced with Sly 2.

Please note that any changes that are made are permenant and cannot be undone. Nor can someone put in a game, and then someone else take the same game.

So make a wise choice on which game you replace.

BTW, depending on what the last game is on the list provided below:

Half-Life 2 (multisystem)

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)

Viewtiful Joe 2 (multisystem)

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (multisystem)

World of Warcraft (PC)

Outlaw Golf 2 (Xbox)

Galaxy Angels: Eternal Lovers (PS2)

Growlanser Generations (PS2)

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (multisystem)

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 (PS2)

Mario Party 6 (GC)

Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords (Xbox)

The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth (PC)

Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories (GBA)

Mega Man X8 (PS2)

Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)

Tales of Rebirth (PS2)

Ultimate Baseball Online (PC)

Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator (PS2)

Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Joey The Passion (PC)

*Metriod Prime 2: Echoes (GC)

Oh and is there any games in here you can't honestly see getting any votes? Because these (with Metriod Prime 2 the exception) games are lined up in release date order. So whatever is left on that list will become the date for when this voting process begins. Personal opinion states that nothing after Tales of Rebirth would get a considerate look, but that's just me. Help me out in finalizing the lists on the first post.

I want a Worst Game category too, just so I can nominate the piece of crap TMNT2 game that I rented. I swear its the worst game I've ever played. Im glad it was a free rental.

As for what I've heard about Metroid Prime 2, its the best Gamecube game to date, but its going to be seriously overshadowed by all the other greatest games of all time being released this month (although none of them are on the Gamecube..)

How could Need for Speed: Underground (and possibly Underground 2 that just came out yesterday) be missing from the driving genre?

Pffft. That was a hell of a fun game.

I demand that you add Katamari Damacy somehow.

I'm not sure where Katamari Damacy would be placed. I'll make it a strategy game. However please select which strategy game you'd like it to replace.

If you'd like to also nominate it for Best Game of a platform, please choose which platform you'd like it to be placed on.

Hm... I hadn't really thought about Worst Game... Ok, one Worst game category will be installed, but people will have to nominate games for it. One sticker though, you can not nominate a game that is currently on the lists for Awards. It has to be not on that thing.

I would hope that someone nominates Xenosaga for this category as I can not do so.

I concur with this.

This is what is being done.

Oh, I added a shitload of more categories that need filling as well, so please nominate some games for them. Just a note, Massive Hype is a game that had a shitload of publicity (this does not mean the game did or didn't live up to expectations) and also Best Sleeper is reserved for games that did a shitload of good stuff yet you never heard about it...

OK how about swap out any of these tons of racing games I haven't heard of or really aren't worth nominating for Need for Speed: Underground or NFSU:2-

05) TOCA Race Driver 2: The Ultimate Race Simulator – Multisystem

06) Mashed – PS2

07) MX Unleashed – Multisystem

10) MTX Mototrax – Multisystem

I wouldn't put MX racing in racing. Doesn't feel right. Different game with cars and without, ya know.

Well, TOCA is supposedly really good. And I agree about MX Unleashed, I say to move that down to Alternative Sports, although MTX falls in the same sport, but much tamer, I'm guessing.

Massive Hype. The really obvious are Doom 3, Halo 2, GTA, Madden, Mortal Kombat, and Fable.

Graphics. Doom 3, Metroid Prime 2.

Soundtrack. Def Jam and Katamari Damacy.

Alright, I thank you for the nominations you've made, they will be put in shortly.

Now the difference between Sound and Soundtrack is Sound is for everything you hear in the game, whereas the Soundtrack is simply for the music provided for the game. Just to clarify.

Oh and Best Software Company will also play into the Game of the Year. Whichever company made the best games, their points will be added to the totals needed to make Game of the Year.

I'd like to point that while Metroid Prime 2 has been nominated for Best Graphics, it is not nominated for Best GameCube game. Or in the Action category. Just pointing that out.

Alright people, I think I have the listings finalized. I just need two more games nominated for Best Sound, three more games for Best Graphics, 1 game for Best Soundtrack, and three games for Best Sleeper.

Otherwise, that's what we are going with for the lists. If there is no objection to the listings as they are (just filling in what is left), then I will probably start voting as early as November 30th (since no games are after that date) and end on Saturday December 4th, with a very nicely done up summary/column on December 5th.

That sound good for everyone?
