Guest Korgath Report post Posted November 21, 2004 So far, Michelle McCool and Amy Weber have been seen on Smackdown, Michelle as RVD's valet and Amy Weber in JBL's corner. The question is: who's the next Diva Search or Tough Enough 4 contestant to be picked up by the WWE to replace the 10 released wrestlers?

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 Article from the WWE Website about the situation Three Divas return on SmackDown! By Anthony Cali DAYTON, OH – Many fans were surprised to see three familiar faces show up on SmackDown! this week. Maybe that’s because the last time anybody saw these lovely ladies, they were walking up the aisle on Raw, having been eliminated from the $250,000 Diva Search. Thanks to several SmackDown! Superstars and General Manager Theodore Long, they’re back. Michelle McCool, Amy Weber and Joy Giovanni each appeared backstage on SmackDown!, in three different roles than fans are used to seeing them in. Michelle showed Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio a few stretching techniques, Joy gave Carlito a painfully good shoulder massage, and Amy lent a little fashion sense to the WWE Champion, John “Bradshaw” Layfield. What many fans failed to realize, is that all three girls’ new positions aren’t exactly “new.” “I have been a certified trainer for five years now,” McCool said, “and I’ve been active [in Yoga] my entire life, and I’ve trained all kinds of people, from kids to geriatrics, it doesn’t matter.” “Well I’m back because JBL felt that he needed a bit of image consulting,’’ Weber said, “and because I own a modeling agency in Los Angeles – I have about 300 girls on my roster. So he felt that I was the perfect person to come in, and give him some advice.” “It’s been about three years since I finished going to school for massage therapy,” Giovanni said. “I was a personal trainer at a gym for quite some time, and I had a private practice there, although lately my schedule has been a little bit busy, between being in the Diva Search contest, and traveling, so I’ve only been doing it for friends and family on my table at home.” During the weeks following their eliminations, all three Diva Search participants continued watching the contest on Raw. Not surprisingly, each of them was happy with the results. “I did watch the finals, and I was so happy Christy [Hemme] won,” Amy admitted. “I think that she has the energy and the drive to really add something to Raw. And even though I didn’t win, I always say that when one door closes, another opens up. And for me, being on SmackDown! is the best thing that could ever happen.” “I watched every week after I got eliminated too,” Michelle said, “and I think it’s good that Christy won. She deserved it. I mean the fans liked her, and I was happy with the choice. And even though it wasn’t me, this is something I have always wanted to do, and being in that contest opened the door for me.” “I was also very happy to see Christy win,” Joy added. “She and I became good friends over the time of the show. And while I came in third, I was so glad that I had the chance to be in the contest. It was a wonderful experience, I met a lot of great ladies, and the whole crew/talent who work for WWE are all amazing. It was really fun, and it was cool to be able to go out in front of a live audience – that’s something I’d never done before.” Although the girls are on a new show, they are excited to be a part of WWE, again. And despite being voted off of the $250,000 Diva Search contest, they were thrilled when asked to return. “It feels great,” Giovanni said, “and it’s so exciting to be back. A lot of these athletes work so hard, so they definitely deserve a good massage here and there. And I love doing it, it’s great to help people. It makes them feel good, and it makes me feel good. I mean who doesn’t like a massage, right? So, yes, I’m thrilled to be back, and SmackDown! is a great show to be a part of.” “It feels awesome,” continued McCool. “I’ve always wanted to do this, so when I got that call, I jumped on it.” “I’m also excited to be back with the WWE family,” Weber reiterated. “There are so many familiar faces that I’ve missed. This really is a family. I mean these people are on the road together 300 some odd days out of the year, so it was definitely a welcome homecoming for me. And it’s an honor to be able to make sure that the WWE Champion looks good at all times, and I’m such a sweet person, that maybe I can even make him change some of his ways. Besides, he’s quite cute, so there’s no telling where this relationship could go.”

Hoff 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 I was liking Amy's character, personally. It could create an interesting dynamic within the group, between her and Jordan. A friend of mine speculated it could even prompt him making a US Title run, to show JBL that's he's the top guy on staff (after JBL presumably showers Amy with attention). Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 21, 2004 What's the point of even doing these contests when they just hire half the people within a month of it ending?
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 What's the point of even doing these contests when they just hire half the people within a month of it ending? They get ratings, in theory. Plus, it gives McMahon and Kevin Dunn another excuse to do stupid shit that they get off on, and think people want to see. I don't think they realise, or care, that by using the rejects, it'll make people less likely to vote, because when they see the people who get voted out hired anyway, it makes the whole thing pointless. Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted November 21, 2004 My head fell off when these three showed up again. Way to waste our time with a completely pointless Diva search, Vince. Please stop thinking with your penis. I know it's a stretch and everything, but come on. Seriously, doesn't Smackdown have enough worthless women on their roster? Why add three more? ...why do I watch Smackdown again? Oh yeah. Nunzio, who I never see. >_<
