alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Jesus, the Heat just blew a 2-on-1 for the lead, and maybe the game in the process.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 nope, Pistons win. Heat get jipped on a sideline out of bounds call.

The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Does Indiana really need Artest, O'Neal and Jackson?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Yes. We've played all our games at home since the suspensions. The real test will be seeing how this group responds when they don't have the crowd behind them.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Said test starts Sunday, at Seattle. Interesting.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 WOOOO Clippers are above .500 again, They beat the Warriors 98-87. Six Players in double figures. Quinton Ross and Rick Brunson went a combined 13-16 from the field. EDIT: WOOO Lakers lost too. Now they have same record as Clips
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Jamaal Tinsley may actually be liked by Pacers fans at the end of all of this. He's actually looked like a fairly respectable leader in the midst of this huge mess. He made Scott Pollard an offensive threat the other night against the T-Wolves, thats saying something. Couldn't stand the officiating in general during the Miami/Detroit game. Shaq getting away with elbows, everyone getting away with walking and quite a few blown out of bounds calls. Great game between the Lakers and Kings. Nice and fairly wide open without Shaq to slow it down too much, although Chris Webber will need oxygen and life support afterwards I'd assume. I'm starting to buy the Kings as a threat again.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I'm still shocked Indiana didn't try to sign any free agents or retired players up. If Malone wasn't still recuperating from the knee injury, I'd venture to expect Bird to give Karl a ring. Sure, they might not like each other but Karl would bang well enough in the Eastern and he'd be sold on the "come win a title" sell.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 ... Great game between the Lakers and Kings. Shut up, foo! We want everybody to write off the Kings, and hype Phoenix as the new "dominant" team in the Pacific division. That way, when we beat them in five in the playoffs, everybody will be wondering what the hell just happened...
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 27, 2004 They're back in contention, but I dunno about them having any luck against Phoenix in a 7 game series. Do the Kings really have any sort of advantage at any position? Nash always kill Sacto, there is only one Doug Christie and 2 high scoring shooting guards in Q and Joe Johnson, Marion is the exact type of guy who gives Peja Stojakovic hell and can post him up to boot and Stoudemire is everything Webber used to be and more. The Kings only real advantage would be in Brad Miller. It'd be a wide open series too and the Suns have a few decent to good defenders. The Kings have maybe 2, in Christie (who's old and starting to show it) and Miller (who's a big angry redneck but not athletic at all). Then again, the playoffs are 5 months away, so really why am I putting so much thought into this?
MrRant 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Said test starts Sunday, at Seattle. Interesting. Indeed. Sonics have been managing to pull out the wins so far this season. 12-2 OMG DYNASTY~!
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I'm pretty shocked at the Sonics and how well they've been playing. Think this'll keep up till the All-Star break?
MrRant 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I think it will drop off a bit but I think that they should get into the playoffs as like maybe a 5th/6th seed at best but I hope they can keep up the level of intensity because they seem to be out working most of their opponents. Fortson has really been an impact.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 The Sonics are like this year's Pistons. Ray Allen can play the part of Rip Hamilton. Someone break his nose, stat!
nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Shaq looks so skinny compared to last year. Im betting on Seattle to be back to .500 by the break and miss out on the playoffs. Indiana however will probably end up winning their division.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Do the Kings really have any sort of advantage at any position? Yes. Even if Phoenix plays a traditional lineup, which D'Antoni seems disinclined to, they match up pretty evenly, because Phoenix loses the advantages that they have offensively on the defensive end; Nash/Bibby is a wash because, while Bibby has never been able to contain Nash, Nash has likewise never been able to contain Bibby. Same with Stojakovic/Marion. Hunter/Voskuhl versus Miller is a definite advantage in Sacramento's favor. And, if they continue to play "small ball" (Stoudemire at center, Marion at power forward), which they've done all season long, Sacramento has a decisive advantage in the post, as Marion can't do anything against Webber at the 4, and Stoudemire did not appear to be especially effective defending Miller at the 5. In fact, Sacramento's style of play is much better suited to win a seven-game series than is Phoenix's. The Kings move the ball well, and turn the ball over very little. If they ever get anybody besides Webber and Miller to rebound, they have the talent and the experience to beat anybody in the playoffs.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 If they ever get anybody besides Webber and Miller to rebound, they have the talent and the experience to beat anybody in the playoffs. EXCEPT, HOWEVER, FOR THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 If they ever get anybody besides Webber and Miller to rebound, they have the talent and the experience to beat anybody in the playoffs. EXCEPT, HOWEVER, FOR THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS Okay, the Kings never beat the "Shaq and Kobe" Lakers, but they're not the same team anymore, and what they did yesterday is not relevant to what will happen tomorrow. The Kings never beat Jordan's Bulls, either, but nobody's talking about how that makes Chicago a better team today. The Lakers beat the Kings in the past; there's nothing that can be done about it. But the Kings have a better chance of winning anything in the immediate future, and that's all that matters to me. These Lakers don't scare anybody; Robert Horry ain't walkin' through that door... Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Hopefully Portland and New Jersey don't play again anytime soon. After their first 64-60 shitfest they looked to be heading for some all-time incompetence when the score was 10-9 at the end of the first quarter. At least Portland realized they're supposed to be somewhat good at least and took care of things after that, the Nets are off to their worst start since either '99 or 2000, i doubt Jason Kidd's to eager to get back to that mess.
