2pac - Loyal To the Game

It leaked last night and....I'm shocked. There's nothing about this album I liked whatsoever. They must have wanted to do a non-DR affiliated album, because they reached into the vault for some tracks from 1992-1995. Some say that was 2pac's most creative era, but these are definite rejects. Lyrics are so simple and plain you'd think they were from Lil Flip's notepad.

Eminem just is not a very good producer. If he's limited to a track here and there, and has Aftermath's studio musicians and engineers surrounding he can turn out something nice. He's just stretched out beyond belief, and there's more to production than making a beat and matching the tempo with old Tupac masters. If Tupac has a laid back flow on a track - THEN LOGIC DICTATES YOU DON'T PUT STACCATO METAL GUITAR TO RUSH THINGS.

That "Ghetto Gospel" track is horrendous. What Elton John has to say about the ghettos of the United States just doesn't seem to apply to anything. Guest appearances are there to showcase the Aftermath/Shady roster and nothing more. If Tupac was a C-level artist signed to Interscope, and was given throw-away beats...this is what his album would sound like.

Disgrace all around.

^ This new Pac has only 9 unreleased songs on a 17 song album. These are old Pac songs some rejects and some that made the cut, are being remastered. This one of the reasons why I don't respect Eminem these days, exploiting Pac is disrespectful as it is and then he's executive producer with those garbage beats he makes. I think people who should work on a Pac album is : QDIII, Dj Quik, and Daz.

You could say that about every album released after his death other then "The 7 Day Theory".

"R U Still Down" had some of the worst shit I had ever heard on there.

RU Still Down at least had the original tracks off the masters, untouched.

This shit is a mix amateurish production and shitty engineering. It seems like Eminem is trying to relive his 2000-2001 era as even DIDO makes an appearance on this shit.

Do people realize that all these albums released after his death are just doing the greedy record companies well? Fattening their pockets as they scramble and scrap to find anything they can label a song and just slap a tag on it. Laughing all the way to the bank.

Yeah, Pac's mother Afeni owns half of Pac's catalog which most of it is unreleased material thats being remastered, and Suge Knight owns the other half which most of that material has been released already, so any Pac album that Suge makes it'll consist of same songs that people already heard of, like that horrible Nu Pac Mixx Klassics bullshit that came out about 6 months ago. This new Pac album is probably the last "unreleased" material he has left. The only Pac album really liked after his death is the "Still I Rise" with The Outlaws.

It does have good content, but they fucked up and the production on it is incredibly wack. Sad thing is if they would have went through all of the stuff on these bootlegs and albums released after his death they could have put together a couple really sick albums. Instead, they watered Pac down.......like everything else in current music.

^ Yeah your right, because Pac did have some standout tracks in all the reject albums after his death. If they would take those standout tracks and put it on a couple albums then I would be fine with that. But his mom don't know what she's doing so she just let someone else handle that stuff, but his mom was bogus when she came out with that Makaveli clothing line.
