Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 I am thankful that: The Ducks signed Sergei Fedorov but did not make it to the playoffs. The Dodgers made it to the playoffs The Red Sox won so I won't have to hear about the curse till next year That the Chargers are winning more than one game That the Clippers at one time were ahead of the Lakers in the standings And most importantly The Lakers signed Vlade Divac. Thank you.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 26, 2004 I'm also thankful that the Yankees have the resources (maybe not the motivation) to fix that team and hopefully get them ready for next year. I'm thankful that, after doing it two years in a row, I can say with some authority that Joe Torre will never, ever, try to stick his worst starter in a relief appearence in a big playoff game again. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 Considering he's done it now twice, AS. I be thinking he'll still do it. Anyways, I'm thankful for NFL providing me with good games to help me get through this shitty period of time that I have no hockey. Sure I don't get as many games via the NFL, but in most cases I've been getting the good games to watch.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 26, 2004 Considering he's done it now twice, AS. I be thinking he'll still do it. It's the old "fool me once" theory. He tried it twice, it blew up in his face twice. He's not a stupid man, he's learned his lesson.
Guest Smues Report post Posted November 26, 2004 I'm thankful for the Yankees and Lakers not winning a title this year. I'm thankful Atlanta won another division title, and took Chicago out of the playoff hunt in the process. I'm thankful Bobby Cox finally won another manager of the year award. I'm thankful my college made the NCAA I-A basketball tournement for the first time ever this year. And that the football team just made the I-AA tournement, even if we're going to get CRUSHED this week.

Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 I'm thankful for the Clippers playing some decent ball and for Shaun Livingston only dislocating his kneecap and not tearing any ligament in the process.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 Regular season wins are like the ceramic dog on the old Wheel of Fortune. An afterthought that you only care about after you got everything you really want. Your trophy for "Most Bizarre Analogy Of The Year" is in the mail.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I am thankful for on-field TO (off field TO makes it miserable to be a fan during the week, but I don't care since they are winning) I am thankful for Kyle Korver and Jim O'Brien and whatever got into AI that makes him *gasp* look to pass for making basketball entertaining to me again. I am thankful for the NHL strike as maybe by the time it is over some of the Flyers veterans will decide to retire and open up a ton of salary. And I am thankful (hopeful) for any accident that could cause ESPN not to air the movie "3".
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I'm thankful for Tennessee exceeding my expectations (8-3 or 7-4) and going to the SEC Championship. It's been our best year since 2001. I'm thankful for the two freshmen quarterbacks that didn't get into any kind of conflict and played as teammates to do their part in beating hated Florida and the then-invincible Georgia Bulldogs. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Come on, you gotta admit that was pretty obscure. Occasionally I break out the OLD SKEWL crazy. As opposed to my 2004, relevant lunacy.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I am thankful for Kyle Korver and Jim O'Brien and whatever got into AI that makes him *gasp* look to pass for making basketball entertaining to me again. He has players to pass to. Passing the ball last year was just asking for trouble. And I am thankful (hopeful) for any accident that could cause ESPN not to air the movie "3". Ironic, since an accident led to the movie's creation in the first place.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I'm from Cleveland. What can I be thankful for? Well, at least LeBron is on fire this year and the Cavs are over .500. Woooooo!!! Maybe Cleveland will actually field a playoff team this year.
Guest Smues Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I'm also thankful that I was wrong and not only did my school not get crushed in round one, we won and knocked off the #1 I-AA team in the nation. Go Eagles!
