MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Buffalo Bills for the 2006 Superbowl!!!! Works for me. The game's in Detroit next year, so I *might* have a shot at going. Disclaimer: "Might", as in, there's what, 10 tickets to the Super Bowl that's available to the general public?
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 What scene is Green Bay going to cause in Philly next week? Oh, getting beat by the Eagles? Like every other time they play them. They could barely get by Alf Alfa awful greasy haired David Carr and the bumbling Texans.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Buffalo Bills for the 2006 Superbowl!!!! Perhaps, against the San Francisco 49ers! Then Chris Berman will explode, and from there, the possibilities are endless.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 29, 2004 What scene is Green Bay going to cause in Philly next week? Oh, getting beat by the Eagles? Like every other time they play them. They could barely get by Alf Alfa awful greasy haired David Carr and the bumbling Texans. That's funny. In the last 3 meetings between Green Bay and Philadelphia, Philly has won the last two.. at the last minute, and in OT after a converted 4th and 26 that was, reality a 25 yard pass (watch the play again and tell me where Pinkston lands, then extends his arm AFTER he is down to get the 26). In the meeting Green Bay won, which I believe was in either 2000 or 2001, it was a 6-3 snorefest at Lambeau. Oh, and I wouldn't be criticizing Green Bay for barely getting by the Texans when the Eagles had difficulty with the Giants yesterday. We'll see next week, frat boy. Revenge is on every Packer and cheesehead's mind.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Interesting note X, Favre has not done quite so hot against the Eagles. He's 0-3 in Philly lifetime I believe. This is also a game that the Packers are really going to miss McKenzie for, as I've seen enough of Al Harris to know he's not going to cover Owens well enough without a few pass interference calls. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted November 29, 2004 The Raiders beat the Broncos. At Denver. In the snow. Can I get a muthafuckin w00t~!?! When the Raiders pick up Mike Williams in this year's draft, they are going to be a sick team. Having a healthy and focused Ricky Williams will also be kinda okay to have I guess. It's been tough being a Raiders fan these last couple of seasons. Tonight's game showed me that they still have some gas left in the tank. Collins did well tonight. Champ Bailey got shat on by Jerry Porter who the Raiders should try to keep at all costs. I'm not trying to hate but what makes you think Ricky Williams will come back and be healthy and focused? Sass 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Absolutely nothing. It's all a matter of hope and Norv Turner swooning Ricky with sweet whispers of nothing. Ricky's a crazy cat but the Raiders could seriously use him. Getting Mike Williams in the draft and picking up Ricky could be hugely awesome or enormously bad, depending on what type of shape those two guys will be in physically and mentally. They haven't played in a year so that could be a major problem right there.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 They should draft Maurice Clarrett too. That would be great.
Sass 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 I don't see why not. It's not like the Raiders haven't had any other colossal society fuck-ups on their team before. But MC is way out of shape from what I've heard. I guess him and Ricky can share the workout bong then.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 30, 2004 So now we get Cleveland wash-up James Jackson playing along with Fisher and Najeh Davenport, who is as close to Ricky Williams in playing style (and in quirkiness.. this is the guy that took a dump in some chick's closet) as you'll find in today's NFL. He's got a great combination of strength and speed, it's too bad the sore hamstring is going to keep him from showing what he can really do out there. I'd been saying the Dolphins should trade for him for a while in exchange for one of their DB's, maybe tonight he'll get a primetime tryout against the Rams' terrible run defense. Oh, and thanks Torry Holt! 7-0 Packers, who also held the Rams out of the endzone when the ball got inside the 20, and Wilkins missed a FG. So far, so good. I wa reading an article today saying how the Rams haven't been able to put it all together quite yet. Defense plays great, offense plays terrible and vice versa. Today it seems like the defense will be the ones playing well.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 30, 2004 What a pathetic team Martz is running. He has possibly one of the greatest backfields in the NFL with Faulk and Jackson and he's only run it a total of 15 times against a Packers team that sucks against the run. And their letting a second string back run all over them for the most part. Martz should be fired after this game but then it's a mystery how he's survived this long as a head coach. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Make that 28-10 Pack after a great drive by Driver. Made a one-handed catch behind the back, and a couple minutes later he leaps up for the TD grab. The Packers suck against the pass, not quite against the run. Ever since Jackson's come back, there hasn't been a team that's been able to get the running game going against Green Bay. And Najeh Davenport could easily be a starter, and hell even a top 15 back on any other team if given the opportunity to start.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Martz has managed to misuse the greatest weapon in the NFL for a long time no. The ball should be in Faulk's hands at least half of the time on offense. The team would be instantly better. There's no reason that he isn't running Jackson more when he's averaging 5 yards a carry right now.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 And what about that fake field goal? You do plays like that when you need points badly. The Rams were a FG away from it being a one score game.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Martz always does that. If it's a 10 point game he refuses to kick the field goal.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Everyone talks about Haslett, Davis being on the hotseat...why isn't Martz ever in trouble? Yes they make the playoffs but they haven't performed ever in them.(under his reign)
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Well Haslett and Davis are equally as awful but the media likes flashy offenses so are willing to give those teams a pass even if they do poorly.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 I don't know, Haslett has been considered a failure for a while now.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Rams are giving up a pathetic 7.3 YPC on defense right now. Haslett was a failure as soon as he chased every Ditka player out of town and built this abomination. The only success he had was off of Ditka's work. He should've been fired a few seasons ago when they lost to the 2-14 Bengals.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Martz can build a team, he just can't coach one, which is why he has managed to stick around.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 30, 2004 You talk as if Ditka was doing any better with the Aints.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Ditka built a team that eventually went 10-6 and got to the 2nd round of the playoffs. And the team was consistently getting better under his coaching. He just had an utter mess of a team when he got there. I mean Jeff Blake was the first real QB that they had in a long time. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Oh, and Touchdown Pack. 38-10. So, how about that Philly game next week? If their weakness is run defense, Green Bay has three guys (hopefully if Ahman's good to go for next week) who can run at will on them. I'm feeling good about our chances. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Aw, FUCK revenge is sweet. Michael Hawthorne rips the ball from Isaac Bruce (who fumbles for the SECOND time today AND gets injured on the play) and brings it into the endzone to make it 45-17. And Green Bay starts the ever fantastic "Na na na na" chant. Sure it may not be the 2001 playoffs, but it feels great to kick the Rams in the cojones. If their weakness is run defense, Green Bay has three guys (hopefully if Ahman's good to go for next week) who can run at will on them. I'm feeling good about our chances. Run defense has been much better in the past few weeks ever since Simoneau was replaced with Trotter. Giants gained 135 yards on the ground, but most of that was in the 1st drive and in garbage time. The run D contained Tiki quite well other than that. I think Green Bay needs to worry about who can cover Owens in their secondary. Also Green Bay has to travel after a short week. I don't EVER want to hear anyone hyping the Rams up again. I think the Eagles might hang 50 on them in the dome in a few weeks.
