TheBigSwigg Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 I was wondering if anyone saw this, and what they thought about it. I'm not very fond of it myself, as though it is supposedly set in his early years, it makes Batman look to normal. He never "learns" anything from his encounters, which makes him look like he has to use giant robots to fight his fights for him. (The episode with Bane) Also, I don't like the redesigning of some of the characters (Joker, Bane, Scarface). What do you guys think?
Guest Shutterspeed Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Sorry to be something of a troll, but while I haven't seen this film, whatever its quality, I really, really hope that it rapes Bryan Singer's upcoming Superman in the ass.

This is a cartoon show, not a film. A terrible cartoon with horrible designs and no real direction. Give me Batman: The Animated Series any day.

Give me Batman: The Animated Series any day. So here's a question: Has Batman: The Animated Series ruined all future Batman cartoons? I believe so. B:TAS was a fairly good translation of the comic book, while shows like "The Batman" seem like someone took the story of Batman and make it more accessible to kids. In other words, they water it down and make it flashier than neccessary.

Seriously, this show is shit, and it just smacks me as a poor attempt by WB to market the character to a younger audience. But it's a failure. They should have looked to the TMNT cartoon. It's been marketed fairly successfully to the kiddies, AND they've managed to keep it relatively faithful to the comic as well.
TheBigSwigg Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 So if it stayed closer to the comic, but still had the look that it did, would it be any better?

Sorry, I came into the thread from the index when I posted that. I also wondered if we'd suddenly skipped ahead months.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I saw some of it back in September and hated it. I think it was the first episode or something and it had that awful looking Joker in it.
Mecha Mummy Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 It's really, really mediocre. The Catwoman episode was solid, but everything else has sucked.
Taker666 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Catwoman and Joker looks fuckin horrible in this new Batman toon. The Pinguin looks decent. never seen the others. Seriously, this show sucks. Batman The Animated Series was so much better
