spman 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Well, if you think about it from a logical standpoint, in theory, since he is the champion, logic would dictate that everyone would refrain from fighting one another at the beginning of the match, and attempt to gang up on Triple H to eliminate him and then truely allow the belt to be up for grabs. Unfortunatly, this is the WWE, where all semblince of logic and things that would make sense are thrown out the window.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Yeah... I expect the battle royal will be like any other battle royal and the wrestlers will inexplicably treat Triple H as if he was any other wrestler.
BHK 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 My likely scenario: Benoit wins the Battle Royal and the title. Next week, we get a possible **** Benoit/Jericho Main Event that draws mega heat. HHH wins the title back from benoit at the january PPV thereby 1) Finally getting at least one of all those jobs back from Benoit, and 2) setting up an Orton Rumble win for a HHH/Orton WM 21 main event
Guest TheJuice31 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Maybe someone can clear this up for me, but why exactly has Triple H never laid down for Jericho? Bar the bait-and-switch in 2000, I don't think Jericho has ever gotten a legit pinfall over HHH, whether it be in a singles or tag match. What exactly is the logic behind HHH's refusal to job to Y2J? Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 29, 2004 I think Jericho pinned HHH for #1 Contendership to Hogan in April of 2002. He got the title shot on May 1st I think in TV time.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 I'm pretty sure there was some initial jealousy when Jericho came in and was immediately more over on Jericho's first night with the company than HHH had ever been. HHH was in the midst of a MEGA push in the summer of '99 and wasn't exactly a smashing success as a main event heel. Jericho arrived in Aug. '99 and was more over as a mega heel in his first night thanks to his debut segment with the Rock. Couple that with the fact that Jericho also had the long blond hair like HHH and I think H felt like his spot was threatened. He immediately sabotaged Jericho by pushing for him to job to freaking CHYNA at Survivor Series, and HHH would go on to bury Jericho every chance he got the rest of the way. I think Jerky has done a good job of keeping himself away from HHH since then. It seems like he knows how a feud with HHH will go, so he's found ways to make himself a main player without needing the world title.
Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Even though it's obvious that HHH will win, i'd love to see either Benoit, Jericho or Regal with the belt. A Regal vs Benoit title match would be nice methinks.

I remember that match really well because I loved it so much (it was far superior to their Wrestlemania X8 main event).
Guest prattboy Report post Posted November 30, 2004 HHH won't win the battle royale tonight because the WWE will change the rules and he won't even be in it! Instead, I bet the winner of the battle royale will fight HHH later in the night. Lame cop out? Yup, but it wouldn't be the first time.
