Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 After not seeing any live music for ages, I'm going to 4 concerts in 3 months! 6th Dec: Beastie Boys 14th Dec: Morrissey 18th Dec: Pogues / Saw Doctors Early Feb: Megadeth Quite a strange mix, and admittedly I'm only going to Megadeth cos a few of my friends are going and I'm going along with them, but all in all I'm really looking forward to them all. Especially the pogues, as this tour is probably the last time anyone will see them all in the same room alive. That is, if they all turn up. Anyone else got any gigs coming up?
Murmuring Beast Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Going to see Morrissey (???!!!) next month in Glasgow. I'm going with an obsessed mate - I said I'd go with him.................................................
Murmuring Beast Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Doctor, are the Pogues on the Celtic Connection tour? Also, going to see RE-fucking-M next year.
The Decemberists Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I'm off to see Morrissey in Birmingham next Tuesday, and in London next Saturday. That's all though. Too poor
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Monster Magnet on the 10th next month. <3 Yay, finally. There's four opening bands, which sucks, but it'll all be worth it when MM hits the stage. So, so happy. I haven't seen a concert for... ... ever. Now if only Rammstein would come to the States, I'd be so euphoric.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I don't think the pogues is part of the celtic connections tour, rather a re-union dealy. Morrissey on the !4th should be very good. I missed out last time he was touring, and I heard he was really very good so i didn't want to miss out this time around. I'm more familiar with his Smiths stuff over his solo work, but i have been "revising" and playing his solo stuff more often.
Henry Spencer Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I'm seeing The Hives in December. That's all I have lined up.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Whoa, whoa, WHOA! The MOTHERFUCKING Pogues are back? Does this include Shane MacGowan?
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Gwar in December and Nile in January.

Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Pogues are back with all the mambers from the first 5 albums, including Cait O'Riordan (who left after the second album) and more importantly, Shane MacGowan is back. That is providing they all turn up.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 This spring, I've got one ruthless death metal show per month from Feb through April. First Suffocation, then Cryptopsy, then fucking Nile, all at the House of Blues in Chicago.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Pogues are back with all the mambers from the first 5 albums, including Cait O'Riordan (who left after the second album) and more importantly, Shane MacGowan is back. That is providing they all turn up. I REALLY fucking hope they decide to come to the US.
