Going to the Headbangers ball tomorrow

So I got some free tickets to the Headbangers Ball tour tomorrow from work (Yay Comcast) and I probably should at least familiarise myself with some of the bands. I know Cradle of Filth a bit but haven't heard the other 3. Song suggestions are what I'm looking for. These are the bands that will be playing:

Cradle Of Filth

Arch Enemy

Bleeding Through

Himsa

Thanks.

Bleeding Through: "Rise", "On Wings of Lead", "Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire", "City of the Condemned"

Arch Enemy: "Ravenous", "Exist to Exit", "Burning Angel", "Silent Wars", "We Will Rise"

Cradle of Filth: "Lord Abortion", "Funeral in Carpathia", "Summer Dying Fast", "Haunted Shores"

I've got nothing for HIMSA, as I don't listen to them.

Notes:

- Angela Gossow (the lead singer from Arch Enemy) is hot.

- Cradle of Filth will most likely take out some strippers to distract you from the fact that Dani Filth has pretty much no power in his voice left.

- Bleeding Through has a ridiculous amount of energy.

Bleeding Through is easily one of the best live acts going today. They are worth the price of admission (well, not in your case) alone.

COF isn't much to write home about and Arch Enemy is fun stuff with a hot lead. Himsa? I never heard their stuff and i never heard much praise anyways.

Nobody has heard of Himsa? What the hell? "Courting Tragedy and Disaster" is amazing.

Check out "Kiss or Kill", "Jacob Shock", "Dominion", "Rain to the Sound of Panic", "When Midnight Breaks", and "A Girl in Glass."

"Rain..." and "A Girl in Glass" are the two singles out there right now.

Of the lineup, Himsa is the weakest.

If you like heavy music, Bleeding Through will entertain you, at the least. The singer has an almost Phil Anselmo-like voice when he decides to sing, but his scream is very similar to your generic hardcore screams.

The best thing you can do for yourself before going to a show, any show, is check out the band's message board, or Google, for a setlist.

Bleeding Through:

1) love lost in a hail of gunfire

2) sweet vampirous (1.5 mins of musical perfection, you will not go wrong with this song)

3) on wings of lead (later in the set, not in order)

4) revenge i seek

5) this is love, this is murderous

6) rise

7) savious, saint, salvation

Himsa: "Cherum", "Girl in Glass", and their most popular song, "Rain to the Sound of Panic",

Arch Enemy:

Enemy Within

Silent Wars

Burning Angel

We Will Rise

Dead Eyes See No Future

Dead Bury Their Dead

Savage Messiah

Instinct

Bury Me An Angel

Ravenous

Cradle:

Gilded C**t

Nemesis

The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh

Mannequin

Nymphetamine

Her Ghost In The Fog

The Forest Whispers My Name

The Promise Of Fever

Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids

From Cradle To Enslave

I really don't like Cradle of Filth as anything more than a sideshow attraction. There are few better walking cliches than Dani Filth. They've got a couple tight riffs here and there, but since when was that anything special.

Arch Enemy is totally overproduced, but the guitar work is slick and technical if you're into that sort of thing. Angela Gossow is a babe, as was mentioned before, plus she's an alright vocalist. She sweated on me when I saw them open for Slayer. The bass player is this monstrous ogre who beats the bejesus out of a Rickenbacker in a sort of Scandinavian Lemmy Kilmister on PCP act.

Bleeding Through sounds cheesy and lame. I don't know them offhand.

Himsa blows dogs for quarters.

Final verdict: I would go to this show for free, and spend 2/3 of it looking for trendy gothic trim.
