the max Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Again, nothing short of tremendous. Jaromir Jagr: 1 2 3 4 5 Rick Nash: 1 2 3 4 5 Jarome effing Iginla: 1 2 3 4 5 Martin St. Louis: 1 2 3 4 5 Robert Lang: 1 2 3 4 5 David Aebischer: 1 2 3 4 5 Jose Theodore: 1 2 3 4 5 Joe effing Thornton: 1 2 3 4 5 Iginla and Thornton are the must-owns for me for this series. Jagr and Lang are useless, it's nice to see Nash in there though. As for the goalies, Aebischer is an OK pick, a nice pose. Theodore may be the worst looking figure to come out in a while.
Lightning Flik Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Ok, for a moment there I actually thought they were just regular pictures. I took a better look and realized they were not. If I had the money, I would definitely buy these.
the max Posted December 9, 2004 Author Report Posted December 9, 2004 I'm not allowed to buy myself any of these, or else my gal won't have anything to buy me. I swear, the first time I saw the Iginla, I thought it was a regular picture from a game.
Guest HungryJack Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I'll cop the Iggy for sure, maybe the Thornton.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I'll have to get the Nash, just because it's my local team.
Ced Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I'm not even a hockey fan, but the Iginla figure is f'n BOSS~! I want to see stand-alone shots without the great backgrounds and lighting though to confirm my opinions though.
tbondrage99 Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 I gotta agree with everyone else Iginla is freckin awesome and a must own. My only question is how in the hell can McFarlane Toys pull this off?
Guest BrokenWings Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 As stated, Iginla figure is simply amazing. The Thornton is also great, I like the pose. Aebischer's is pretty nice as well, and I agree that the Jose Theodore one is a terrible pose. I mean, it's not like the Canadians win or anything. I really like the Rick Nash one too. These are really incredible. They've even got the wrinkles in the jerseys.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 The NHL doesn't deserve Todd McFarlane.
Red Baron Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 The NHL doesn't deserve Todd McFarlane. Isn't he one of the main owners of the Edmonton Oilers?
the max Posted December 18, 2004 Author Report Posted December 18, 2004 Todd is a minority owner, IIRC. He designed their godawful third jerseys:
