fazzle Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 It's tempting to just leave it to my EP again, since they've gotten more wins than I have, but...nah. kkktookmybabyaway Posted December 12, 2004 Author Report Posted December 12, 2004 Deadline has come and gone...
Vern Gagne Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Fucking stupid shithead. Picking the Bears and Buccaneers on the road. I hate this damn contest know, and i'm gonna fucking quit.
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Seriously, all you guys picking the Green Bay 10-point spread are fucking nuts, even if it is the Detroit Lions. Hate to say I told you so, except in this case. Now all I need is for Philadelphia to handily defeat the Redskins, and I win again.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Fucking stupid shithead. Picking the Bears and Buccaneers on the road. I hate this damn contest know, and i'm gonna fucking quit. You're still among the top teams in this contest, Vern.
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Let him quit. That'll take him out and make this between myself and Flik.
Guest Cerebus Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 If I have this correctly, if Kansas City wins tommorw, I could have a tie.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Jeez I might as well join Vern quitting.... but I will not. I am going to finish better than I thought I could, and the team I represent are exceeding expectations so I suppose this was a good year for me... so far. (Best I can do at this point is 10-6, worst is 7-9)
Vern Gagne Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 I'm not going to quit, however I have zero confidence in my picking abilities at this point in time.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 I'm not going to quit, however I have zero confidence in my picking abilities at this point in time. You sound like a pussy. You're like 9-3. Quit being a sore loser.
Lightning Flik Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Congrats to Banky on ending my winning streak at all 8 games.
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 I think this league at the moment is far more interesting than the actual NFL. The only intrigue going in real life is who will win the AFC Championship between Indy/New England/Pittsburgh. Although whoever Philadelphia plays of those three, is going to be a hell of a game in the Super Bowl. At least we can only hope. Parity's come around full circle.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Congrats to Banky on ending my winning streak at all 8 games. No offense: I didn't end it, I obliterated it. And thank you.
BX Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 SONS OF BITCHES HAD TO TRY THAT CAL/STANFORD BULLSHIT. FUCK YOU TENNESSEE.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted December 14, 2004 Author Report Posted December 14, 2004 Final results will be up in a day or two...
CanadianChris Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 YES!! Chiefs rule!! I finally wandered out of the wilderness with the division lead...
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Damn it. Philadelphia had beat all their NFC opponents this year by 10 points or more, and the only one that's played them close was the fucking REDSKINS? Hey, I guess they're not that bad, once Ramsey gets his shit together and has a healthy o-line in front of him.
fazzle Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 If I have this correctly, if Kansas City wins tommorw, I could have a tie. yeah, erm, I think we did tie. Yay! It's better than another loss!
Guest Cerebus Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Is this the first time in the history of the TSM NFL Pickkk 'em contest that there's been a tie?
Agent_Bond34 Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 SONS OF BITCHES HAD TO TRY THAT CAL/STANFORD BULLSHIT. FUCK YOU TENNESSEE. What he said.
CanadianChris Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Is this the first time in the history of the TSM NFL Pickkk 'em contest that there's been a tie? I remember Dr. Tom finished 9-5-1 last year or something like that, so no.
CanadianChris Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Incidentally, if I'm reading this right, there's a 4-way tie for first in the AFC North at 7-6. This is what I have as the all-important If The Season Ended Today playoff picture (the AFC is so fucking crazy that I may have made a mistake or two): AFC: 1) Houston (Bored) 8-5 2) Denver (C. Chris)/Cleveland (sfaJack) 7-6 3) Cleveland/Denver 7-6 4) Buffalo (bob_barron) 7-6 5) Tennessee (Chuck Woolery) 7-6 6) Baltimore (Dr. Tom) 7-6 -------------------- 7) Oakland (Banky) 7-6 8) San Diego (Slasher Flick) 7-6 9) Cincinnati (Swift Terror) 7-6 10) Pittsburgh (Tyler McClelland) 7-6 11) New England (nl5xsk1) 6-7 12) Indianapolis (NoCal Mike) 6-7 NFC (much more sane) 1) Atlanta (Lightning Flik) 10-3 2) Green Bay (Vitamin X) 9-4 3) Arizona (Vern Gagne) 9-4 4) N.Y. Giants (Cartman) 7-6 5) Detroit (bravesfan) 8-5 6) St. Louis (Cerebus) 7-5-1 -------------------- 7) Chicago (AoO) 7-6 8) San Francisco (Agent Bond34) 7-6 9) Seattle (Mr. Rant) 7-6 10) New Orleans (Flyboy) 7-6 11) Tampa Bay (starvenger) 6-7 12) Minnesota (LaParkaMarka) 6-7
Vern Gagne Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Quick reminder. Game on Saturday Night this week. I need a win this week. Not only to get back on track, but clinches me the NFC West.
Lightning Flik Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 I can't believe that little ol' me is the best in our league. Not only that but with only three weeks left, I win this week I clinch first place in my divison. I'm quite happy about how this season has been. Except for my picks this week past. And the AFC is just fucked up. Seriously, fucked up.
