Blade Trinity

Recommended Posts

So I just got back from Blade Trinity. As an action movie like the other Blade movies it's pretty damn good. I enjoyed watching it.

Hell that dude from Van Wilder was funny as hell throughout the whole movie.

And HHH got a laugh from me......well he was just goofy.

That, and a homophobe. After years of watching HHH use PG language, it was weird seeing him say "Faggot" or "Fucking Fruitcake".

- Ryan Reynolds = GOLD.

- Jessica Biel was decent. She held her own during the action sequences.

- Wesley Snipes didn't do much different, except that he looked like he didn't want to be in this movie.

- Dracula was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.

- Parkey Posey looked quite :firedevil: but didn't play a very convincing Vampire.

- The action was top-notch as usual.

Overall, a good popcorn, action flick. But, being that I am a huge Blade fan, I felt a bit letdown.

I would have to say I was dissappointed in this one. Especially considering that I rewatched Blade and Blade 2 before going to see this one. I didn't mind Biel, Reynolds either, but I HATED the villians in this one immensely.

I was actually fine with Dracula, for once he didn't walk around like some kind of seducing manwhore for the entire film. For a creature whose origins were based in the death of a warrior, Dracula always acted like some kind of sensitive puss. Nice for once to see him be a freaking SOLDIER. It was a little eerie that he looked like a skinny Batista though. If they only had an old white haired vampire who was senile.

Parker Posey needs to stop. Her and that bone that seems to slam out the side of her right leg when she walks. I've yet to see where this woman has any talent as an actress and yet she gets people on their knees begging for her in films. That was the worst overacting since VAN HELSING vampires.

Ryan Reynolds was hilarious, I'll give him that. And his action scenes were passable. Patton Oswalt should have been allowed to throw some additional comedy as well, he was horribly misused.

Biel was Biel, she didn't suck with a bow and she was nice on the eyes. She showed good emotion so no problem with her.

Triple H was actually fun. Granted he was just walking around as Triple H with vampire fangs but it was funny hearing him tossed out curse words and talking about being ass raped.

Welsey was just about what I expected. A pissed off vampire hunter who was no longer in the mood for the human stuff. Blade was a little darker in this one and actually makes me want to see the franchise continue.

Overall, I enjoyed the film a lot. The additional cast members were fantastic, the lines weren't horrible, and the only negative was Posey running around overacting her ass off.

I'd recommend it if you can stand Posey.

Well I thought Reynolds interactions with her were hilarious. Especially:

When she was on top of him trying to turn him into a vampire but it looked like they were about to get it on and then she started dying and he said "Wait here honey while I get help" and just took off.

Reynolds was just awesome the entire movie. I had doubts about him being added until I saw how it worked.

I hope they plan to keep going. Reynolds, Biel and Snipes would make a damn fine fourth film.

I saw it last night..and thought it was awesome.

I for one don't really like Jessica Biel..Im also not really a fan of Ryan Reynolds (even though I liked Wilder) but both of them in this movie was great. Jessica was 'kick ass' literally...and Reynolds brought the funny. Pretty much all of his scenes had me laughing...

And I thought this was the best Blade character yet...'cliche' or not. Maybe it's because I like Wesley Snipes..New Jack City style, Nino Brown...and that's what he was in this movie seemingly. Especially made me think that when he said 'Kill you? Motherfucker, I'll kill you'.

Then..Dracula. Hey..I enjoyed him..the guy had a hot voice >_>. But really..I kind of like the concept of Dracula, like many ancient warriors believe in honor..and one on one fights etc. Instead of just...'IM DRACULA!!' then he starts running around beating people up, and just trying to kill Blade randomly. His Vampire form wasn't...well, much of a vampire, but it was unique. It also made him seem special though..

But..I really did get an AvP vibe in the movie..especially in the beginning in the pyramid lol. And then..they had the Predator mouths. But..it worked.

I thought Triple H was..great. ;) For someone who really couldn't see him as an actor...he did his job well, and I actually enjoyed the character. Of course the language did take him up a few notches. :D

And Parker...well, I enjoyed her :s. But maybe because I'm not really a movie buff..or I don't really critique people's acting skills, etc. But she had me convinced..and this 'slut vampire' she was portrayed as. Don't see how anyone can say she didn't really act/seem like a vampire...because how exactly is a vampire 'supposed' to act? Not like anyone really knows..

But anyways, I also overall enjoyed the movie, and pretty much everyone in it. So I too recomend (bah fuck spelling) it.

Question about HHH -- will you see him as an actor in this movie (like I did with Snoop Dogg in "Training Day") or will you go OMG IT'S HHH (like I did with the Rock in the Mummy Returns)?...

Considering...he actually has a part in this movie lol...yea, you will see him as an actor.

As someone said though..in a way, he's HHH with fangs...He's just 'a bitch'. In this movie. But that's a good thing..

Dracula and the Dogs mouthes opened like the bad guys in Blade 2. What was up with that?

And I forgot about Blade 2 since I only saw it once. What was up with the monsters in that? What were they again?

They were genetically engineered to withstand garlic and silver allergies. The feeding on vamps and sunlight weakness were defects in the design.

They were called Reapers.

If you remember, the brother of Parker Posey's character said the Dogs were just something that they toyed around with.

I think that hate comment meant it was X Pac type hate. Heh.

I'll hopefully go see this sometime soon. Gonna see Ocean's 12 tomorrow though.

As far as Blade goes, I think #2 is the best of the series. The first film is a little slow going, kinda like it needed about 20m cut out of it somewhere. It has a better storyline than Blade 2, but I think 2 is the better actual film, if that makes any sense. It has a good enough plot, absolutely bitching action scenes, and who can deny the awesomeness of.....REINHARDT~!?

Blade 3 was nowhere near as good as 1 or 2, but I liked it. Anyone who says it is one of the worst movies of the year hasn't seen many movies this year.

My favorite quote, said by HHH of course, "and when the fuck did you see my fucking cock, dickface?"

Blade Trinity – a whole new Game

December 6, 2004

By Anthony Cali

CHARLOTTE, NC – Monday Night didn’t turn out to be a very good night for Triple H.

Aside from learning that his World Heavyweight Championship has been vacated, with its future lying in the hands of a returning Eric Bischoff, “The Game” also had some problems with his fellow Evolution member, Batista, who has been showing signs of aggravation of late. But while Monday night didn’t go as Triple H had planned, there are many things of late that have been going his way.

The nine-time World Champion recently released his first book, Making the Game, he’s on the cover of the Holiday Raw Magazine, and he’s got a major role in the feature film Blade Trinity, starring Wesley Snipes, which hits theatres everywhere on Wednesday (December 8th).

Prior to learning of his title situation, a yet to be aggravated Triple H sat down with WWE.com to discuss his role in the upcoming action/ adventure movie.

"The whole experience was great,” the Evolution leader said. “To work with people like Snipes, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel, David S. Goyer (Blade: Trinity’s writer/director), was phenomenal. If you had to pick a first experience in Hollywood, you couldn’t pick a better way to do it, because they were all great. Everyone was really helpful, we had a lot of fun on the set, and Goyer was just awesome to work for.”

In the third-installment of the comic-based production, Triple H plays an evil vampire assassin named Grimwood, who goes toe-to-toe with the vampire hunter, Blade (played by Snipes). And while fans may think “The Game” has some maniacal tendencies, nothing compares to how evil his blood-sucking alter-ego can be.

"You know it’s funny, it’s playing a character, but the same intensity is still there,” the Greenwich, CT resident said while sitting back in a black leather couch located inside the Evolution locker room. “That’s really what I brought to the table, so I think that if you have that, then you’re good to go.”

Last week, Triple H went to the film’s premiere in Toronto, and this week, he will be traveling to Los Angeles to attend another premiere. And when you factor in book signings across the US, as well as his already hectic WWE schedule, the “Cerebral Assassin” has been kept pretty busy.

"Going to the premiere in Toronto was pretty cool,” Triple H admitted. “I was actually just keeping my fingers crossed that the movie was good when I watched it. But it was a pretty cool experience overall, and so far the reviews of the movie have been good, and the reviews of my part have been good, so who knows, there might be more.”

Now that he’s had his first taste of action movies, some fans have begun to wonder if Triple H, like fellow Raw Superstar, The Rock, may be considering a fill-time jump into the silver screen. Ironically, at the Mr. Olympia contest in late October, Triple H even served as a guest host with legendary action movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, but despite all of the accusations, the 9-1/2 year WWE veteran claims that he isn’t going anywhere.

"Again, as I’ve said in the past,” he continued, “I’m not looking to leave this business at all, and wrestling is still my top priority. My resume is always going to say WWE Superstar at the top – it’s not going to say Hollywood actor, or anything else. Sure, all the other things are great, and it’s a natural extension to use these big-time movies to elevate the status of wrestling – which is what I intend to do – but no, I don’t intend to leave wrestling any time soon. ‘The Game’ is here to stay.”

HHH played such a minor role in this movie and it wasn't really believable that he got his ass kicked so much...maybe that's because I'm used to watching him roll through everybody on Raw but seriously..he and the rest of these vampires were the weakest of the bunch considering how tough the villians from the first two films were...HHH gets the shit kicked out of him by Blade and Van Wilder, who absolutely made this film for me. I would be down for a fourth and final film called Nightstalkers as long as these three can regroup...or maybe just more of Van Wilder in action films.

Isn't that what you're supposed to do? LOL

Hopefully I can see the movie this week

Let me rephrase this one. I thought the actors that played the villians were fucking awful.....

Well, let's just say they prolly shoulda stopped at 2. There were a couple of cool "Blade Moments" but the villains were beyond lame. Parker Posey was gobbling scenery faster than William Shatner. Triple H killed my interest in this movie like he killed my interest in watching North American wrestling. Let us speak no more of him. The guy who played Dracula was probably the SECOND worst actor to play Dracula I've ever seen (First being the guy who played Dracula in Van Helsing. Oh, the pain...) The Blade Dracula looked like he should have been in an Old Navy commercial singing about cargo pants with Sherman Helsmley. He wasn't scary and he had no screen presence-he seemed more constipated than scary. The new characters they introduced were annoying when they were supposed to be funny and silly when they were supposed to be bad asses. The product placement was groan inducing. I kept waiting for the screen the turn into one of those iPod commercial silhouettes..."UNO! DOS! TREZ! CATORZE!!!!"

All in all, not the worst flick I've seen this year (that honor goes to the aforementioned Van Helsing) but I'd rather eat my own eyeballs then sit thru Blade Trinity again.

Cage is right. Why do all the most recent film Draculas have to be portayed as pansies or eurotrash?. The best movie Dracula I have seen, besides Nosferatu, is the one played by Gary Oldman in the Bram Stoker film.

I would mawrc if Blade came running at him, and HHH's character gave him the facebuster. And did the water spray with a mouthful of blood after killing some hapless human.

No, no.

It has to be a high knee or nothing.

Does HHH do any of his moveset in the movie?

If memory serves correct he did the following moves:

Spinebuster, basic beatdown punches, powerbomb (?), and plain rag doll tossing.

Anybody that has also seen the movie feel free to correct me if i'm wrong or add anything that I forgot.

I don't know why some critics have trashed the movie saying "Blade should be a loner." The irony here is that in the comic books I remember Blade was merely one of the Nightstalkers to begin with! They did it sorta ass backward in the films, since he was a loner and then the group appears in this film, instead of the usual "Dude in a group breaks off" stuff.
