Another poll here to test everyone's opinion. After coming off a highly rated Turning Point PPV, TNA should gain some momentum for their next PPV, Final Resolution on January 16, but at the same time must headline with a match people want to see. The original plan for Jeff Jarrett's NWA title match opponent was Macho Man Randy Savage, but for better or w....ok, just for better, he went nuts again and pulled out. Reportedly they still haven't settled on who they want to get the title shot. There is still some hope that they can come to an agreement with Savage, but otherwise it seems the top candidates being considered are DDP, Monty Brown, Hector Garza and Dustin Rhodes. Not to mention others on the roster like AJ Styles, The Truth, Raven, Abyss and Jeff Hardy can be plugged in as well. Most interestingly, even though they haven't decided on the opponent, reports are Jeff Jarrett understands he has to lose the title and a title change is likely for Final Resolution. TNA's goal should be to give fans what they want, and most importantly give them matchups that will get fans to order their PPVs. So, assuming it's a one on one matchup and not a multiperson deal, which opponent to Jeff Jarrett for an NWA title match would most convince you to order Final Resolution?

Actually, the only 3 who are able to get a shot at it (according to TNA) are The Alpha Male, DDP, and Scott Hall. So it's really Brown/Page.

Hmm, I'm assuming you're alluding to something that happens on Impact! (which airs Saturday night for me, so I haven't seen it). Irregardless, this poll is to test public opinion of the wrestling fans here at TSM. I want to know if amongst 10 of TNA's "top stars" which one would garner the most interest in terms of a Final Resolution title shot. I'm curious to see what fans would want to see to get them to order the show. Even if, for instance AJ Styles can't storyline wise get the shot, if he finishes big in this poll, and Final Resolution doesn't do well buyrate wise, we can say that TNA should be listening to their fans and giving Styles the shot if they want to sell PPVs. Otherwise, if Brown or Page do well in this poll and one of them indeed gets the title shot, that should bode well for PPV buys. Get what I'm saying?

Killings. Nobody else deserves to be near the title after putting up with so much shit from the front office - and still working hard - as Killings. The only one that comes close is Styles, but Styles/Jarrett don't have as much chemistry as Killings/Jarrett do. Remember the back-to-back ***1/2-**** bouts they had in November '02 for the World title? Outside of the shitty finishes, the matches were very, very solid brawls, with tons of heat, and everything was well-timed and well laid out.

Monty Brown.

I think it's about time to pull the trigger on the Brown main event push, if not time to actually put the title on him.

He's over with the crowd, and though I'm sure others will disagree, I think he can be booked as a farily solid brawler. The match he had with Jarrett on Impact 3 or 4 weeks back was pretty good, and I think that if they took the time they work out a much, much better match between the two.

I'd agree if the stipulation was that Killings would stop dancing.

DDP. He's the one legit star they have that has any gas left in his tank. He can probably work a very watchable match with Jarrett, and I think him winning would elevate the title right now. Then, he should go straight into a big feud with newly turned heel Killings. 3 month feud with Truth coming out on top, and you've got your title in a really good spot.

Very interesting (but predictable results). Monty Brown, luckily for TNA is going to have a chance at the title at Final Resolution. The time, obviously, is now to put the title on him. Hopefully they realize that he is the fans choice.

I think that would be a bad choice if they did that now. It has been proven over time that fans will tune in more to watch a babyface chase a heel champion, than a babyface champion. If they decide to give the ttial to Monty, there needs to be a real fued leading up to it.

Better to strike while the iron is hot. The fans are in to Monty, they're sick of Jarrett, just get it over with and make a superstar....

It won't work. If you just give the fans everything they want when they want it, they have nothing left to look forward to. Brown will win the title eventually. It is inevitable, and it will be a big moment for TNA fans. However,if TNA books it right, and prolongs it just long enough, it will be a huge moment for TNA fans.

I picked Killings, but truthfully haven't watched enough TNA to have a fully informed opinion. I haven't seen much of Brown in action, but what I've seen looked pretty green and completely unworthy of a world title reign.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I hate to be pessimistic, but at this point, TNA doesn't have time. In order to survive they need to give the fans what they want now so they can have a future to build to. The fans want the Alpha Male, so give it to him.

Ok, but he'll flop as champ, at which point you will have killed a rising star, the guy your company has been built on since day one, and probably any glimmer of hope your company has for survival. If TNA is that desperate, this won't help.

Hear hear. DDP should get the shot. Then the ME scene should include a built-up story INCLUDING and LIMITED to:

Jarrett

Styles

Killings

Raven

Abyss

Brown

Hardy

Daniels

The blowoff should be a 6 corners 8 man match. :headbang:

In an ideal world, this should be the start of a reasonable length build-up to Brown getting the belt. Use the triple-threat match effectively - Jarrett interferes and takes out Brown, Raven does likewise and takes out DDP, meaning Nash gets the shot. Then when JJ thinks he's safe, and Nash will just lie down for him, turn the KoW heel on him, have Nash take the belt and JJ get a monster beatdown to put him off the show completely for a couple of months.

Then build Brown v Nash, with Monty plowing through the roster on a full-on Goldberg push until either the Feb or March PPV, have him go over clean and you have your new superstar heavyweight champion, the KoW have served their purpose, Jarrett is removed from the scene to be refreshed and spend time with his wife and the fans get what they want.

Obviously this assumed TNA haven't self destructed by March, and that the KoW are still about.

I want to see the title put on Raven above all others. I think of all the people that Jarrett squashed during his face run as TNA's "Dragon Slayer", Raven got the shittiest end of the stick. Jarrett took the finisher of nearly every heel in TNA at the time, and 3 Raven Effects, and still didnt job to Raven. I was glad the TNA crowd shit all over the finish by throwing trash into the ring. Though, at this pojnt, I am ready for almost anyone to take the title from Jarrett. I would settle for Brown, or Raven.

I voted for Diamond Dallas Page, but no one said it had to be a lengthy run. I think Abyss is about the best option TNA has as an ACTUAL main event champion, but he needs to be built up again. Perhaps given a mouth piece as well so that he character doesn't go the Kane route.

Cyrus or The Sinister Minister would be perfect.
