Cheap Ass WWE DVDs

Recommended Posts

Ok, simple post here.

I was out this evening at a local shopping centre and was in the electronics dept of a store and found a bunch of WWE DVDs for really cheap. There were quite a few there to choose from, some I had, and some I didn't.

Here's what they had:

(BOLD - I have already on DVD, ITALICS - I bought)

Global Warning Tour

Wrestlemania XIX

Judgement Day 2004

Bad Blood 2004

Bad Blood 2003

Bloodbath

Monday Night Wars

Before They Were Superstars 2

Divas Desert Heat

Divas Undressed

Divas South of the Border

Mick Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses

From the Vault: HBK

Rebellion 2002

No Way Out 2004

Armageddon 2002

Trish Stratus: 100% Stratusfaction

Armageddon 2003

No Mercy 2002

Unforgiven 2003

Here Comes the Pain: Brock Lesnar

Vengeance 2003

So, what do you guys think?

Should I fuck off and buy all the other ones?

Are they worth it?, or what do you suggest?

Vengeance 2003 is a fun show that's worth picking up. My second favourite show of 2003 (behind WM19). The tag match is great, a MOTYC, the triple threat is very good, Benoit/Eddie was good, the APA Barroom thing is worth it JUST for Spanky's dancing, Taker/Cena is stiff and solid, and the other three matches are better than expected. Buy it.

No Mercy 2002 is also decent. The tag match is, again, great and, IMO, the second best (WWE) match of 2002. The Brock/Taker match is really good, the cruiser match is fun, th opening tag is ddecent, and the rest doesn't matter. Buy it.

I'm not completely sure what is on the Brock DVD, but I THINK it includes his match with Hogan, SS with Rocky, NM with Taker and WM with Angle amongst others. If you decide not to buy the NM DVD and don't own any of the others, I'd think it'd be worth buying.

Unforgiven 2003 sucks. Pass on that.

The Divas DVDs suck, though I've heard the Trish one is solid.

Haven't seen Armageddon 2003, but heard it sucks.

What you bought seems decent enough. You should have just got the Eddie DVD from somewhere instead of NWO. The only other worthwhile matches are Rey/Cena and the 3way, and they're only decent - good AT BEST.

Armageddon 02 is KINDA watchable. The tag title match is fun, Benoit/Guerrero is pretty good... and that's about it.

I'd say get Vengeance and No Mercy, and Brock's if you don't have all those matches.

QUESTION to anyone who may know: What is on the Rock's 'Just Bring It' DVD, and the other one (Know Your Role?). I've heard conflicting reports on both.

The Trish one IS solid. It's not like OHMYGAWD SHE HAS BIG TITTIES, it's more like a wrestler profile. You know, with the relatives interviewed, the clips of when she debuted, that sort of thing. If you still want it for the hottie value, a good buy. If you want it for whatever other reason, still good. Especially cheap.

Armageddon 2003 was really good IMO. I was there live and it was an alright show. Basic Evolution getting all the titles. Not the best but RVD/Orton was really good.

Despite her talent, Trish's titties will always be a selling point for me.

The Divas Undressed DVD is pretty good IMO. While the main show sucks, the side profiles are decent (at least a few are anyway) and a few of the little Confidential bits are good too.

I believe it's worth mentioning that the list you provided is for the 2-disc "Just Bring It" Collector's Edition DVD. The previous edition is single disc only about half the chapters you listed, no triple threat match from Vengeance. The RVD/Rock match can be accessed by pushing left twice on the Lilian chapter (that goes for both editions.)

I dont have any of those, but I have been meaning to get no mercy 02 and vengeance 03. my local stores all seem to have them though. I have been waiting for price drops lol

I have the rock know your role original vhs version from 99. I like it, too bad they never put it on dvd with full matches.

Rocks narration is pretty funny.

This basically covers his transfromation to NOD to the cocky rock character we all love. Shows the hilarious moment from feb 98 when rock gave all the nation members rolex watches, except fro farroq, he had a special present for him. He has this big long thing wrapped up. cole assumes its some sort of expensive artwork or painting. simmons opens to reveal a big pic of the rock holding the ic title belt. CLASSIC stuff here as farrooq got more and more pissed at rock every week. leading to night after wm 14 and rock taking over the nod and beating up farooq (after an early shot of the peoples eyebrow to the nod members) it basically skips over everything else straight to his feud with hhh leading into summerslam 98 includingthe segment with chyna mentioned before. a clipped version of the ladder match is shown . rocks intro of the segment is funny as he refers to trips as "That Half-queer triple H" clips fo rock promos are shown in succession and then we seque right to survivor series 98 and rock joing the corporation. moves onto the mankind feud and the rumble I quit match is shown in a clipped form. next they show a clipped version of the empty arena matches, highlighting rocks hilarious comments as he beats up mankind. (throws salsa in micks face, mick screams like it burns and rock says "its mild!") then clips of the wm 15 with stone cold is shown, then clips of the return match at backlash(including rocks funeral for austin which in hindsight is kinda sad considering owen hart dying for real a month later) , then rock leaving the corporation the next night, and thats where it ends.

dont know why i said all this, but figured Id tell you about that

It's a canadian retail store that is having this sale. Zellers is the store in question, 6 months ago Walmart's in Canada had all 2003 dvds for sale very cheap.

The Trish one is fine, as has already been covered.

The Lesnar one is probably for Lesnar fans only, although the matches are solid choices, particularly because when you watch them in order, you can see how much the Rock and Undertaker matches did more for Lesnar than the WrestleMania XIX Angle match did.

If we're talking cheap WWE DVDs, it should be worth noting that Amazon has some great deals from time to time if you check out the third party sellers.

Last week I picked up Action and Rebellion 01 for $12 total. And that included s&h.
