Holy shit, I'm tripping some kind of hard.

Recommended Posts

I wish I had my old bookmarks. I had all sorts of trippy sites that I enjoyed viewing while I was tripping on shrooms.

I've never treid acid, but I've read and heard a lot about it. No one who knows what the drug can do will mock you. Posting here to try and ground yourself in reality is a much better plan than going at it alone and having a panic attack or worse because you can't deal with what you might see.

In other news, I've always wanted tot ry acid but haven't been able to find any over the years. Send some my way... please? Heh.

Jesus Christ, man. I'm absolutely faded right now and you still read like a total fucking idiot.

On the one hand, you've done a remarkable job of reestablishing my sense of self. On the other, people like you make it impossible for me to retain any of the newfound faith in humankind that the psychedelic experience generally gives me.

Goddamn it, I had to read that post three times before it made the appropriate amount of sense, but it's still stupid.

I don't see how I'd "read like an idiot" except for the fact that I made a couple typos.

I try to be nice and this is what I get? What an inconsiderate asshole. I take back what I said. I hope you freak out and become a vegetable so I never have to read any of your posts and be reminded that people like you are still allowed to live in this day and age.

Acid's tricky business nowadays. Demand is down, supply is down, plus it's VERY illegal (and too hard for laymen) to manufacture LSD, and the market is flooded with analogs. Buying a hit now can get you a mouthful of alphabet soup like AMT, DXM, or some 2C-B. You'll get fucked up alright, but it's not the same. Most people with the knowhow to produce hallucinogenics and their ilk stick with making X anyway. More money in it, and more people do it.

Isn't it 20 years for distribution or something like that? The authorities do tend to frown upon this motherfucker.

I've done this maybe a dozen times and had relatively comparable experiences every time, but this is by far the best shit I've ever had. Either I've never gotten really good shit before or I've never actually gotten acid before. I'm not sure which is more likely.

Yeah Agent, that's pretty much what I've been hearing. I never could find any before, but Iw as in central Illinois and you should know how shitty small midwestern areas are.

I figured I'd be able to find some in Southern California, but no luck as of yet. Everyone I've met here is a pothead, a tweaker, or both.

Clean LSD is a white whale. Learn your botanicals and research chemicals and try some of them instead. Kibs should do DMT in particular. I've been trying to find some of that for years. Can't even monkey with it unless you've got a sober sitter, though.

Yeah, I've been looking for that too with about the same results.

Also: I have reason to believe this is clean shit, in that case. It went from the chemist's hands to a good friend's to mine. That and the fact that I'm still having trouble identifying a self at all makes me think yeah, this might be good shit.

Anybody that reads this thread and still thinks Kotz is a druggie is indescribably stupid.

I'm beginning to get the hang of things now.

This is still a big headfuck, though.

I've been reading Matt Young's posts in the hopes that something in them would make him seem less alien to me.

Didn't work.

He shouldn't take that wrong, but he probably will.

I am not ashamed to admit that I am curious what will become of this thread.

ATdrawing1.jpg

These 9 drawings were done by an artist under the influence of LSD -- part of a test conducted by the US government during it's dalliance with psychotomimetic drugs in the late 1950's. The artist was given a dose of LSD 25 and free access to an activity box full of crayons and pencils. His subject is the medico that jabbed him.

First drawing is done 20 minutes after the first dose (50ug)

An attending doctor observes - Patient chooses to start drawing with charcoal.

The subject of the experiment reports - 'Condition normal... no effect from the drug yet'.

ATdrawing2.jpg

85 minutes after first dose and 20 minutes after a second dose has been administered (50ug + 50ug)

The patient seems euphoric.

'I can see you clearly, so clearly. This... you... it's all ... I'm having a little trouble controlling this pencil. It seems to want to keep going.'

ATdrawing3.jpg

2 hours 30 minutes after first dose.

Patient appears very focus on the business of drawing.

'Outlines seem normal, but very vivid - everything is changing colour. My hand must follow the bold sweep of the lines. I feel as if my consciousness is situated in the part of my body that's now active - my hand, my elbow... my tongue'.

ATdrawing4.jpg

2 hours 32 minutes after first dose.

Patient seems gripped by his pad of paper.

'I'm trying another drawing. The outlines of the model are normal, but now those of my drawing are not. The outline of my hand is going weird too. It's not a very good drawing is it? I give up - I'll try again...'

ATdrawing5.jpg

2 hours 35 minutes after first dose.

Patient follows quickly with another drawing.

'I'll do a drawing in one flourish... without stopping... one line, no break!'

Upon completing the drawing the patient starts laughing, then becomes startled by something on the floor.

ATdrawing6.jpg

2 hours 45 minutes after first dose.

Patient tries to climb into activity box, and is generally agitated - responds slowly to the suggestion he might like to draw some more. He has become largely none verbal.

'I am... everything is... changed... they're calling... your face... interwoven... who is...' Patient mumbles inaudibly to a tune (sounds like 'Thanks for the memory). He changes medium to Tempera.

ATdrawing7.jpg

4 hours 25 minutes after first dose.

Patient retreated to the bunk, spending approximately 2 hours lying, waving his hands in the air. His return to the activity box is sudden and deliberate, changing media to pen and water colour.

'This will be the best drawing, Like the first one, only better. If I'm not careful I'll lose control of my movements, but I won't, because I know. I know' - (this saying is then repeated many times).

Patient makes the last half-a-dozen strokes of the drawing while running back and forth across the room.

ATdrawing8.jpg

Patient continues to move about the room, intersecting the space in complex variations. It's an hour and a half before he settles down to draw again - he appears over the effects of the drug.

'I can feel my knees again, I think it's starting to wear off. This is a pretty good drawing - this pencil is mighty hard to hold' - (he is holding a crayon).

ATdrawing9.jpg

8 hours after first dose.

Patient sits on bunk bed. He reports the intoxication has worn off except for the occational distorting of our faces. We ask for a final drawing which he performs with little enthusiasm.

'I have nothing to say about this last drawing, it is bad and uninteresting, I want to go home now.'

Alright! I've unclenched my jaw for the first time in about five hours. I'm going out for a drive now - I don't really know if that's a good idea, but son of a bitch, that's what I'm doing anyway.

Death and rebirth through some kind of hallucinogen or other - we can't really be sure what we're taking - and staying up for 36 hours at a time! Wow, I feel pretty cool.

Just cool enough to brag about it on a message board, too. Yeah.

I'd like to thank you all for coming out. We're all an extension of the one true god and don't forget to tip your servers.

Oh, hey, if you live in Maryland, fuckers, P.S. - I am outside. I am driving. And I am feeling kind of crazy. I hope that makes your morning a little more interesting.

Nah, I'm not going to take it the wrong way. I've got no problem with you.

That last post wasn't meant to be taken literally, although I didn't make that very clear. I would never wish that type of fate upon anyone, and I don't harbor any ill will toward you at all. I'm glad that you've made it through without freaking out.

I was hoping he choked on his tongue and died for telling exagerrated tales of nothingness.

Acid is next to impossible to find around here, and I am just around the corner from South Philly. Ecstasy, however, has gone from $25 in it's heyday around here, to $7. I have not taken advantage of this yet, however.
