Decent/Good episode last night. Next week's interrogation should be fun. I always like it when they involve civilian women in Jack's torturing of suspects (yes, Audrey isn't a civilian, but she might as well be) just for the reaction that it gets.

Navi going out like that was disappointing, much like Saunders' death last season in the anticlimatic way. The expectation that Jack is going to ice the perceived "big bad guy" only for him to get killed by a lesser character (Gael's wife/Behrooz) is a letdown.

That list made me laugh quite often. My friends and I talk the same way about Jack Bauer. Just my favorite two...

"Over the course of the last day, he has killed about thirty men who were trained to kill, survived a plane crash, parachuted out of another plane and faced seemingly certain death twice. Oh, and also, one hour ago he was clinically dead. He is unequivocally the toughest son of a bitch ever to exist."

"By the end of Season Three, Jack has pretty much reached a level of omniscience. He knows what everyone's thinking, he knows what everyone's about to do, and he's never really worried about what's going to happen because he knows it already. "

And also, a top 5 list of Jack's yells... brilliant. I personally think number one is DAMN IT! the yell that ended the show the week the guy got shot by the helicopter.

The best hour-ender is still "Did you get that?" though. Noone should be that calm when they say that.

btw, GO CURTIS!!

I like when irritating child actors get it.

Decent episode, should be fun to see where we go at the turn now that the reactors have seemingly been stopped. I've said once but I'll say it again--we aren't even through half the day yet. Yipes.

I'm not liking the leaving of Erin -- she was essential to this season.

Who says she doesn't try and be a hero and stay the rest of the day? I don't watch the previews so if that gave it away - nevermind.

I feel like an asshole but I actually cheered when the daughter died.

I think tonight was one of the best episodes of the season and series. Super strong from start to finish.

Edgar Styles should have a statue built in his honor in Washington. He saved MILLIONS of lives in a matter of hours. He better at least get a huge raise.

I'd settle for no less than a huge raise and an unlimited expense account at his favourite gentleman's club...

I too don't watch the previews, so I don't know for sure, but I can't see how Driscoll could possibly stay on after that. Edgar is hardcore and has shown himself to be able to put aside everything and get the job done despite personal tragedy; Driscoll's been consumed by her daughter all day. Nobody in 24 country has ever had to deal with something that immediate and mortifying for the rest of the day.

I seriously hope Driscoll leaves next week and the secretary of defence puts Tony in charge for the rest of the season.

And then Edgar chews out Driscoll for leaving due to a family member's death since he was forced to stay when his mother died.

I'm thinkin' it's... either. Either gonna be Tony or Michelle. Though, going off of IMDb, I really do wonder WTF Palmer's going to do this season. Oh, and here's hoping for an appearance by zombified Sherry.

Uh, actually, nevermind that. They switched his years back to "2001-2004". The '04 was gone when I looked last week. Damn it... I miss Palmer. Blasted AllState commercials are such a tease. I want to see him get blown the hell up or something then Fox goes to an AllState ad.

Yes, but Jack wasn't the one saying "Take care of Paul", you see.

Anyways, you just know that Tony knows who Division would send to take over CTU, especially the way he was all like "I can do this. Division doesn't need to send a Programmer"...

do emps take out batteries though? I'd imagine the whole point of emergency lights is to somehow survive power outtage?

No. Just anything that carries a stream of electrons. Like wires or computer circuits(open circuits). An electromagnetic pulse produces a magnetic field that will move electrons through circuits. The higher the EMP, the more electrons move through the circuit.

If there are too many electrons moving through the circuit, it heats up and melts and sometimes short circuits.

A battery uses chemical reactions to move electrons. They are not affected, if they are not being used at the time of the EMP.

My main question is that due to the fact that they write 24 on the fly pretty much, did they fully intend to bring back Tony, Michelle from the start or did they bring them back to boost ratings which arent really doing to spiffy this season?
