Guest Evolution Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Awesome ending, could've used the silent ticks at the end after Chloe's statement. They totally just assassinated the President.
starvenger Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Great episode, but it makes me wonder what else the terrorists can possibly do to top blowing up Air Force One. Do what noone else has done - kill Jack Bauer. For more than an hour, that is.
tommytomlin Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 And now Edgar will get into trouble for neglecting the LAPD Reports mentioning the missing pilot. And then he will snap and eat Michelle.
DerangedHermit Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 And now Edgar will get into trouble for neglecting the LAPD Reports mentioning the missing pilot. And then he will snap and eat Michelle. And then Marwan will plant a bomb in Edgar's belly.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Dude, Kellers not gonna be dead. He's gonna emerge triumphantly from the rubble like 3 or 4 hours from now after everyone's done had him for dead, and he's gonna be pissed that the VP took his office and started screwing around. OB-VI-OUS
packwingfn Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Bump. Can't wait for the aftermath tonight.
Mik Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 If there are 8 episodes left... that means... Only two episodes left until Palmer comes back. Hopefully he doesn't retake the presidency in some lame twist. I wouldn't like that, and I don't think many would either.
starvenger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Wow, Novick hasn't been back for 2 minutes and he's back to the top of the "TV Douchebag" list...
starvenger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Hey, that couple found the nuclear codes. Guess we'll be adding them to the body count soon...
packwingfn Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Shall we call Mike Novick "Mr. 25th Man" And they need to explain how he got where he is right now. Things just got better.
starvenger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Congratulations, new Mr. President. Oh, by the way, there's this small little detail about the football for you to take care of...
packwingfn Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I still want a damn explanation on how Novick got back in his position!!!!!
Guest OSIcon Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 The explanation should be simple. After Palmer fired Mike at the end of Season 2, he joined up with Keller because Keller was going to run against Palmer for the presidency. Keller would have put Mike on his staff because few people know Palmer better than MIke Novak. Of course, Palmer dropped out of the race giving Keller a clear path to the White House. Mike was already on his staff though and just stayed on. He wasn't with Keller in Season 3 simply because he wasn't with him that day. I don't know if they'll actually give us an explanation this season or not, but I would be surprised if it was much different from that.
starvenger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I still want a damn explanation on how Novick got back in his position!!!!! He's old friends with the VP, apparently. Plus I think the reasons for his dismissal in Season 2 as Chief of Staff were never disclosed.
packwingfn Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I still will call him the 25th man no matter what haha
chirs3 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) Awesome episode - great way to kick off the last 8 hours. I kinda wish Keeler hadn't made it, though... oh well. So, any predictions as to what sort of sleazy scheme Mike is cooking up? Or how Palmer's going to come back? Edited April 12, 2005 by chirs3
Guest T®ITEC Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Mike Novick bites the heads off of babies and I couldn't love him more. Anyway, uh, this episode really made me laugh, which was something I needed. From that pathetic couple to Jack's sudden emotional phone call to Audrey to NOVICK SCHEMES~, this was just a fun episode. Plus there was the way Jack killed the bald/ugly terrorist, with the can/lighter/grass followed by, "Hey!",... followed by baldie's death. It's always beautiful to see something from Mitchell on this show.
Jonathon Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Loved this episode. It reminded me of season one old school suspense. For a minute I forgot about the whole nuclear thing and was just transfixed into the classic cat and mouse, evade and hide sequence. Great suspense. Probably my vote for most entertaining hour of TV this year yet.
tommytomlin Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Mike has something going on with the new Vice President (the youngish looking guy who spoke after the new Prez). As Mike walked past him, they exchanged a little 'We're evil' nod together. It makes sense too, the new Prez won't be able to handle the pressure, Keeler is in critical condition, so this new VP can become the head honcho. Still, it's a bit of a stretch to believe this guy and Mike hatched up this plan in the hour since Air Force One went down, unless they had PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OOOO.
Chazz Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I think Novick and The New VP are evil allright, but on a different level from The Terrorists evil. It's quite evident from only 1 ep That The New President has no backbone. I think Novick and The New VP will manipulate him to their needs. Pretty good ep, as Marwan escaping with a few pages of The Football wasn't nearly as surprising as The Yuppie Couple actually surviving was. Where The Hell Is Heller and Behrooz?
starvenger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Where The Hell Is Heller and Behrooz? Heller is back doing his job... somewhere and Behrooz is being held... somewhere. The longer he's off TV the better, as far as I'm concerned.
Guest T®ITEC Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I think Behrooz is sleeping off this long day in a shallow grave. Poor Behrooz.
packwingfn Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I liked how Jack had to call Audry to explain what he meant by "blocking things out" etc. It really added to his character. And I also liked the beginning of this storyline with the New President and Novick because now there going back to the good president storyline similar to Season 1 & 2 which divides the attention and not all on Jack (which isnt bad) but its still good anyway.
keith6601 Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Tony's the best. The president isn't supposed to be a pussy!!!
Edwin MacPhisto Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Harry from Sex and the City + finger-breaking street justice = hilariously good episode.
