Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I'm still wondering why Farve wasn't ejected for throwing a punch at that guy RIGHT IN FRONT of the ref????

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 God dammit I was busy so I missed this game and I put a tape in and taped the wrong god damn channel. Was it really as dirty and physical of a game as I hear it was?

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 God dammit......stupid VCR......I wanted to see it getting ugly! What was with the Pack secondary arguing on the sidelines?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 God dammit......stupid VCR......I wanted to see it getting ugly! What was with the Pack secondary arguing on the sidelines? Carroll committed two stupid holding penalties with the Pack down seven and the Vikings ended up getting a free first down twice and eventually scored a touchdown. Course I understand he has done this all season long so I don't think the secondary should be shocked. Packers need to draft some defense and wide outs cause they are holes the size of the Grand Canyon.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 Their wideouts are fine, it's tough when two of them are injured. You know, the Green Bay defense is getting a lot of flak for this game, but it seemed like (outside of Carroll) they played fairly well considering. It's not their fault the offense kept turning the ball over and not giving them a chance to rest. The stuff they did in the 3rd quarter, stopping the Vikes from scoring any points despite ridiculous field position, that was pretty solid.

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I didn't watch the game, but I also wondered why anyone was blaming the defense. I mean, how many playoff games do you think teams win when their QB has 1 TD and 4 INTs. Maybe 2 or 3 percent tops?
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I feel bad for Carroll, then, as he appears to be taking a few too many shots. I don't know if anyone read Peter King today, but he already wants to declare him a first round bust. Carroll is in a situation way above his head as he should be no more than a nickel back at this point (thank McKenzie for that one).

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 The defense was awful all season which is why they are getting flack, but it is Favre and the WRs (they misran routes on at least 3 of the ints) that lost this particular game.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted January 10, 2005 When I don't even know the name of the receivers Favre was going to throw to (as in Andre Thurman's case), then I knew the receiving corps was getting thin in the game.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I'd take the blame that was placed on Carroll...and put it squarely on the team as a whole. How do you bitch at a ROOKIE cornerback for not having the composure to perform in a playoff game? There's a reason teams hide their younger corners at nickel for a few years. Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I don't see why some Packers fans are so quick to dump on Favre though. Yes, it is largely his fault that they lost, but ask fans in Miami, Buffalo & Denver how fun it is to replace a legendary QB, even one on the decline. Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted January 10, 2005 I wouldn't say Elway was on the decline...I mean he did retire having just won his second Super Bowl in a row and Super Bowl MVP honors.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 I wouldn't say Elway was on the decline...I mean he did retire having just won his second Super Bowl in a row and Super Bowl MVP honors. I think he meant that Denver's having a hard time replacing him, which they are. Brian Griese did have a great 2000 season though, but after that he was pretty average. I would really like to see the Broncos pick up Kurt Warner, but I think they're gonna stick it out with Plummer.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 I like Kurt Warner, but at his age, he's only a stop-gap solution. Denver might be better off drafting a QB.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 On the Randy Moss incident yesterday. My problem with Moss yesterday wasn't that he did an end zone celebration, much like I have no problem with TO. My problem is that Moss was too much of a gutless coward to moon the crowd for real. If you are going to talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 Underwear moon or bare-ass moon? I think they wear jock straps so I think a bare ass moon would be in order. Bareass. For God's sake, if you are going to moon someone, do it correctly.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 There was a kid who mooned the bus in third grade and I still laugh when I think back on it years later. The driver didn't even see it but a lot of the kids did and everybody started laughing. Wait, doest this have anything to do with sports? Go Heels! It does now. LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 Tony Dungy said it's an old tradition that GB fans will moon a losing team's bus at it leaves. He thought the whole thing was pretty funny.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2005 He didn't moon the crowd though. He pretended to moon them. He should have been man enough to actually go through with it.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted January 11, 2005 The worst part about it is how Moss is handling the media attention about it. What I really saw as kind of a retarded act to pull, I was only mildly irked by it, and it was only at the moment. Only afterwards when I saw how he explained his actions and has acted about it all week do I realize what a fucktwat he is.
