Guest Phenom Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 As the biggest event of the year, I have made a list of a few places I think would be good locations for the Big One. EDIT: Already chosen as Trump Plaza & Casino.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 The FleetCenter in Boston got screwed.
Dr. Zoidberg Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 AUSTIN GOT SCREWED!!! BAH GAWD!!! ...no?...ok then. I say The Compaq Center in San Jose, CA. Twarg as fuuuuuck.
King Cucaracha Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Trump Plaza. Have it set up just like Wrestlemania IV with the long aisle and stuff.
Tony149 Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 No location has been set yet, but I did pitch Zack the idea of holding the show in New Orleans to play up WWE's "WrestleMania goes Hollywood" slogan, with our's being "AngleMania goes Cajun." I do like King Cucaracha's idea of holding the show at Trump Plaza (is that still around?) though. With the Donald owning the OAOAST (I'm telling ya -- nobody remembers that one, lol), it would be fun to hold the show at the venue. Hopefully more guys will chime in and we can set a location.
Guest The Mad Cappa Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I just looked it up. Yes Trump Plaza is still around. I would also concur with King Cucaracha's idea of holding AMIV there.
Tony149 Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 (edited) All right. It's 4-0 in favor of Trump Plaza. Whichever venue has the most write-in votes will be the winner. Edited January 15, 2005 by Tony149
Patty O'Green Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Anaheim Fuck Anaheim. Mighty Sucks! bwhahahaha! Put it in LA or Saint Louis. 314 mutha'fuckas! Seriously, Trump Plaza is fine. I'd say the MGM Grand in Vegas but we already went to Veags so the Plaza is cool.
Dr. Zoidberg Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 Of course he would be...it's HIS plaza!
Guest Phenom Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 Another queston: will he fire anyone? Like, Bill Watts or something?
Guest Failed Mascot Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 I would mark out if Hoff SpineBustered Trump
Tony149 Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 Another queston: will he fire anyone? Like, Bill Watts or something? He could, but I don't think it would be Watts.
Adam Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 Yeah, I've got no problem with Trump Plaza, count me in favor of that.
Tony149 Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 (edited) Looks like we've settled on Trump Plaza as the home for AM IV. If you've ever seen WrestleMania IV and V, you know how the set will look. And because Hoff asked for it -- our Feb. PPV, Zero Hour, will take place in MN. Edited January 16, 2005 by Tony149
Guest Failed Mascot Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 So Zero Hour is in the Metrodome?
Hoff Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Not so much. Try the Target Center. I realize it's fantasy and all, but between the downswing in wrestling's popularity and the fact that it's not a "major" PPV, I think 20,000 in the Target Center is more realistic than 60,000 in the Dome. Plus, the Target Center is like 1000 times nicer.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 But you could have the PPV need to stop in the middle because the Golden Gophers have rights to the field.
NYU Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Not so much. Try the Target Center. I realize it's fantasy and all, but between the downswing in wrestling's popularity and the fact that it's not a "major" PPV, I think 20,000 in the Target Center is more realistic than 60,000 in the Dome. Then again, I AM the champion. I'm sure we wouldn't have trouble drawing people to a non-important PPV.
Hoff Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I hear the main event is gonna sell big tickets. That's just what I heard. Still, Target Center is the way to go.
NYU Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I hear the main event is gonna sell big tickets. That's just what I heard. So the fans actually believed Meltzer when he said Damaramu was close to headlining Zero Hour?
Hoff Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 But he wouldn't sell very well at all, unless Ryan Smith was buying. ZING~!
NYU Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 But he wouldn't sell very well at all, unless Ryan Smith was buying. ZING~! Man, that's like two totally different meanings crammed into one. Good show. I'm impressed.
Hoff Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Thank you, thank you all. I do what I can.
Guest Phenom Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I just thought of the tagline: "AngleMania IV: The Classiest AngleMania Ever." EDIT: The theme song shall be "For the Love of Money" by the O'Jays.
Dr. Zoidberg Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Either that or "Slow Hands" by Interpol. or "Narcissist" by The Libertines or "Deceptacon" by Le Tigre or "Between Us and Them" by Moving Units
