Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2005 What in your opinion is the most dead, silent, and quiet crowd ever in wrestling? I was watching the Unforgiven 2003 DVD the other day which inspired me to do this thread and the crowd was absolutley dead. During the IC triple threat match between Christian/Jericho/RVD, the crowd didn't pop for ANYTHING. This happened at multiples times through the night. I haven't nearly seen enough to judge so what do you think it is?
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 16, 2005 Anytime WWE visits Columbus, OH. Any 1995 Show WWF put on was pretty heatless.

teke184 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2005 Anytime they're in Nassau, Long Island, it's pretty bad. They have a reputation as being one of the worst crowds in the US when it comes to being silent for 90% of the show.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2005 Whenever the usual regulars at an NECW show aren't there (which has been happening more and more lately), and there are a bunch of newcomer fans. It just hit me last night that most of the faces I saw when I looked around I'd never seen before.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2005 For a small indy show, the recent Chikara show with the hour and fifteen minute Torneo Cibernetica match had a crowd that was just dead silent the entire time. Eerie.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 16, 2005 Los Angeles is also a very tough crowd. They'll pop for 1 thing MAYBE per show, but the rest is just a snore fest to them.

Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 Tomko v Richards at this years (Unforgiven?) was pretty dead. I remember when the WWF were bringing out that WWF Agression CD which was the theme music with Rappers doing raps over the music. I believe The Rock was having a match on Smackdown. The theme tune starts "IF YOU SMEEELLLL!!!" and the crowd begins to pop, and then Method Man's version of the track comes over the P.A and the crowd just sort of murmoured and sat down in confusion. It wasn't complete silence but it was pretty much as close as you're going to get for The Rock in 2000. At least they were smart enough to play his normal theme for when he won the match, which got a pop
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 17, 2005 Remember Kurt Angle's guitar riff theme? Of course you don't, they only used it twice. It's also available on the Attitude era Anthology CD (even though "Attitude" era ended in 2000).

They have a reputation as being one of the worst crowds in the US when it comes to being silent for 90% of the show. I totally agree. I was there for a Raw show right before Survivor Series 2001, and the crowd was so dead, that during a commercial break, Paul Heyman got on the house mic and yelled at us for being so silent. It was classic.
