Highland Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I'm not liking it at all, but I can see that he would use it when he's first starting out, and later going with the traditional batmobile (which is suped out all to fuck with technology far ahead of what is available to the public in the comics).
Secret Agent Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Why don't you guys quit bitching until after you've seen how they use it in the movie. As far as a tricked out car goes; we already saw that in the first Batman. The Batmobile there was a tricked out Corvette Stingray.

Guest El Satanico Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Tinted windows, take the mask off and wear a large overcoat over the rest of the outfit. Who's gonna notice? This is Gotham...like the citizens would bat an eye at a weirdo
Guest El Satanico Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Are you sure about that? I've seen a replica that used a vette, but I don't think the movie version used an existing car as the base
Guest SpiderFan Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I don't mind the new Batmobile. If I was going out on a viginlate run, I'd use a tank-like vehicle at first too, if only for the intimidation factor, until my reputation grew. And it fits the story, as it was being built for the military by Wayne Tech, but the project was abandoned, and he takes the vehicle for himself

I just seem to remember somewhere that stated it was based off the stingray. Of course, I've also seen Motor Trend saying it was a Chevy Impala, and I don't really buy that one.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I saw that article. They used the frames from two Impalas and built a body on top of them.
