Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 DDP was an old man from wcw. Right, Heidenreich is leagues better than Page ever was. More deserving of the spot too. That's their perspective, not mine. I've never even seen the guy. What could you possibly have to add to this thread, then? Jokes.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 But you know, I don't think you guys got the perspective. DDP being an old man from wcw made them not care whether he was good or not. Heidenreich being a young guy of their own makes them not care whether he's good or not. DDP being a main eventer just gave him the potential to make Undertaker look better when he crushed him. Plus he probably pissed somebody off in the back.

Plus he probably pissed somebody off in the back. DDP, while old, had not wrestled for very long. He was over and a cornerstone of WCW in its last 5 years. Was Undertaker not old? Heidenreich, is un-over, un-proven in the ring, sucks on the mic, and has nothing going for him. HE is the type of guy Taker should be making his bitch. DDP got nowhere NEAR the type of offensive progression Heidenreich has. Although you haven't seen the guy, I'm sure you can imagine what he's like.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 Hey, I'm not saying it's the best idea, just that I can see them thinking that way.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 Here's my two cents on this... I was talking to Rando the other day, and we were talking about the Smackdown from this past Thursday, and that Heidenreich wax model or whatever the hell it was in the casket. Rando says its fucking freaky how "in character" the Undertaker is at times. That's what makes him one of the top men in the business, and Heidenreich is playing up being freaked out and going insane really well IMO. Will the match be pretty? Probably not. Has the buildup been good? Oh hell yes it has. By the way.... we won't see JannettyTaker this time round.... it'll be LondonTaker.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 has Taker ever actually WON a Royal Rumble casket match? I can only think of two, vs. Yoko and vs. HBK, both ended with him getting jumped and stuffed...

I can only think of two, vs. Yoko and vs. HBK, both ended with him getting jumped and stuffed... It's the Royal Rumble curse for the Undertaker, exactly right BL. I can't even remember if he's even won a match at Wrestlemania... I think just that one against IRS, and that's it...
