Guest MikeSC Report post Posted February 7, 2005 You're welcome to leave. We were doing fine while you were gone. Oh, I will be. And, no, you REALLY weren't. -=Mike Watch your ass on the way out and all. Jeez, quit saying you're gonna leave and leave for damn's sake. You tease, you. I don't make a big deal about my departure and arrival. I can't sleep right now, but reading the crap here is helping alleviate that. Just continue posting your usual crap. What kind of a fucking jackass feels the need to type their name at the bottom of every post? Well, certainly not the kind of busy-life kinda guy who needs to point it out. Kudos to you, good sir. Do you really think we can't see your username in big black letters to the left of your post? Or are you so in love with yourself you like to type it over and over, like a school girl writing an imagined married name in the margin of her notebook? The dirty secret is out, thanks to your brilliant detective work. You're special. Really. Today, Mike said I was CLEVER~!!! Oh maybe I'll ask him to take me to the prom but I'm not sure~! He's such a smart guy, every post that arguew with him he randomly breaks down into different sentences then, get this, DOES NOTHING BUT INSULT THE POSTER AND DOESN'T ADDRESS ANY OF THE FUCKING POINTS~! I mean, if that's not brilliant and sexy I don't know WHAT IS! Well, I imagine that the last sentence is really quite accurate. Another piece of the puzzle falls into place. No love for my new episode? sad.gif They take a while to put together.... It was lovely, Slappy. -=Mike
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 ^Wow, way to deflect our attacks.^ Come on, dude, I asked a legitimate question. Why DO YOU put your name on all your posts? I'm dying to know. I'll just have a few more years of listening to you bitch about how the GOP steals elections and how unfair it is that Dems never win elections. Way to get me confused with someone else. I guess you're so used to being wrong all the names just blur together. Like I said, the intellectual level of this board has plummeted. There is no real difference in idiots. It's sad that Cerebus' photo thing is one of the more clever things anybody outside of me has uttered. -=Mike No love for my new episode? They take a while to put together.... You're the man. I'll admit it.
Styles 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 I froze when I saw what Slapnuts! posted. I will continue to pray for the safety of this thread. And may God continue to bless pointless unfunny picture posts. Geez, what's your problem? I do them for the benefit of humor and try to mock both sides. If you don't like them at least keep it to yourself. And by the way, that joke is played out, you should get over it.

Styles 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 If you haven't noticed, I'm not using strong words because that's not my nature, and I'm not the type to go around flaming people on an internet message board. I'm simply asking you not to be a jerk and insult me for no reason. Fair?

Styles 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 You're not too balanced with it, skippy Shut your mouth you America hating hippy! I've been more "Fair and Balanced" in the past to be sure, but this one was focused on Dean so, it took the piss more of the libs in this case. My favorites were the Grover Cleveland advising George W. one and the Howard Dean vs. Zell Miller dual. Now, those were fun.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 While proclaiming a hatred of Republicans This isn't the same thing as having no conservative ideals whatsoever. and undergoing a MASSIVE turn to the left to be the dancing monkey for the far left. Proof, please. He's also shown a remarkable inability to actually reach out to the South --- which, like it or not, is killing the DNC. Well, we're just going to have to get by without them. My own idea is to try to reach out to the midwest, but the south is basically as set in their ways as San Francisco is. I have his speeches from the primaries. I have his statements SINCE the primaries. I have the actions of some of his loudest defenders. Well then, clearly, you're the best person to educate, since you have all the statements and facts. I have the realization that NE liberals DO NOT connect with voters to any great stretch. No more than Enron Lobbyists. He's not running for President, so his hometown has little to do with it. He's already displayed an ability to get middle Americans to understand that voting Democrat aids them more than voting Republican, even if those people then decided he wasn't appropriate for President. Big deal. I have a party that is ALREADY doing poorly in voting (after a close loss in 2000, they lost in 2002 and lost in 2004) 48% VS 51%... You make it sound like it was 3% VS 96% with the doom and gloom speeches. I have a candidate whose ENTIRE schtick is being completely anti-war Completely anti-war? In all the speeches I've seen, he expressed support for the war in Afghanistan. You have a comment about pro-life that is CLEARLY a lie as his loudest defenders opposed one of the candidates because he actually WAS pro-life. Where to begin? You're putting other peoples' words in his mouth, and conflicting his personal opinion on the issue with clarity to see the reality of the situation. Yes, Dean's pro-choice, but since then election he's admitted that room needs to be made for pro-lifers if we want to stay in the game and win elections, which according to your own posts is the measuring stick of success. Did Bush bitch about CBS to any degree after their hit job? He has handlers, spokespeople, cabnet members who refuted the story for him. I'm not sure how that's any more impartial or any more noble than getting your own hands dirty and confronting the issue yourself. But that's really just a difference of opinion. EricMM 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 So like, I have to say Dean will have to deal with his past in regards to his new position. I feel that any sort of outcry besides the actual "YEARGH!" would have sounded better at the time. But in all fairness, he was anti-Iraq before anti-Iraq became pop, as it is now. No one likes this military action. I'm sure if it were up to Dean we wouldn't be there in the first place. I've heard Bush say that now that we're in it, we can't afford to leave it. Which one shows better foresight, much? Kerry most definitely lost the election himself, or at the very least won almost no voters w/ his total lack of expression. There is a very clear, very FAT line in the ground with American politics, as far as I'm concerned. Neither side can successfully appeal to voters by trotting out little tidbits of the oppositions strengths. Dems won't out conservative the Reps and vice versa. I feel like there might not be a quick way for Dems to win back voters in two years or even four years. We can't just snatch out voters, trick them into voting for us. We have to convince them that we're correct, and that the Republican (Conservative) view is wrong. We don't need more pro-lifers, we need there to be more pro-choicers. If that takes years of campaigning, and PR, and losses, so be it. Lord knows the Republicans will give us a chance, I'm pretty sure they're not going to do ANYTHING successfully domestically anytime soon. On one hand thats kind of good in that it'll help the Dems eventually. But mostly it's just worrying.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 Kerry most definitely lost the election himself, or at the very least won almost no voters w/ his total lack of expression. He got 57,288,974 votes. That's up 12% from the 50,999,897 Al Gore won the popular vote with 4 years ago. But I see what you mean. A vote for Kerry was never made out to be more than a vote against Bush. 60,608,582 people definitely thought otherwise.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 More people voted across the board. But not enough. If every liberal in this country had voted, Bush would have lost. Enough said. Kerry just gave off a douche vibe, or let a douche vibe be painted upon him, either way HE lost. He rallied NOBODY, because he kept pandering to the right wing independants, as if he could get any ANY of them to vote for him. Hello, if you're pro-life, who are you going to vote for, a pro-life Dem or a pro-life Con? Come on.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 He had no credibility on the war. He tried to play both sides. If there was a "douche vibe", as you put it, it started there. It doesn't help that Democrats have been considered weak on defense issues since 1972.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 God I love it when Mike posts. CE is much more entertaining. Oh, yeah. Howie. Well, I think Tyler's right in the sense that Howie did have a good grass-roots/Internet campaign, which I think could help the Dems, but I think having him as one of the Party's figureheads will be ... will be ... well, it'll make for some entertaining RIGHT-WING RADIO. What the hell is that thing on Jobber's head? I always pictured Jobber to look more like Barak...
