Oh hush. I've had to put up with the Lakers loss in the NBA Finals, 4th and 26, and 2 home playoff losses in the past 4 years where they had never lost before in the past 4 years. Not to mention the XXXII Super Bowl loss and the T.O. catch with 8 seconds left the year afterwards.

Oh please, you still have 3 Lakers championships(one over the Sixers, BTW) and a Super Bowl win in 1996, I've never even seen one of my teams win one.

Yes I'm bitter.....

NFC North is extremely competitive

yeah, just like the AL central.

I don't know about you guys but I thought the onside kick was a terrible move. They still had 2 timeouts and 2 minutes left, they could have had the ball back on the 30-45 with a little under a minute left, instead they got the ball on the 4.

I'm guessing that the total collapse of Philly's offense at the end has already been discussed.

For those knocking McNabb.

357 yards, three touchdowns, three ints on 51 PASSES.

You know how many quarterbacks can avoid getting that many interceptions on 51 passes? Not many, if any at all.

He had no ground game, he was getting pressured constantly and New England was throwing schemes at him left and right. He threw three touchdowns on the Patriots defense, one of the best in the league.

He made some bad throws but when you force and throw the ball that many times, it happens.

One thing I was suprised at was the lack of pressure the Eagles put on Brady. I mean, they blitzed their fair share of times, but the o-line seemed to contain it most of the time. That killer block Dillon threw on Trotter early on was fucking sweet.

I know I'm going to sound REAL snobbish here, but those championship hats are BUTT-ugly. Brown just doesn't work. The shirts are pretty nice though.

Not sure what this meant...? (I don't follow baseball)

Being that it was a two-score game and it was under a minute and a half, they only had two timeouts which wouldn't have forebode well for them to try and play run defense (something that was inconsistent in this game for Philly) against NE trying to run the clock out on them. They still managed to play them well and get a chance with under a minute left and they squandered that opportunity away as well though, so it's a moot point.

...Hey, thanks for making me feel better!

I think Philly is in a much better position to win a championship than any of my teams do in the near (or even not so near) future.

EDIT: This was directed at Dama, btw.

Yeah well I've had to deal with:

The Eagles repeated failures at the end of the year

and

The Celtics being completely inept every year

and

OU's basketball team being the most inconsistent bunch on the face of the earth every year

AND

OU losing two straight national title games including a completely embarassing ass whipping this year. And an embarassing ass whipping in the conference title game last year to a team that shouldn't have been able to hold our jock.

So don't talk to me about pain I know it all too well.

The only good sports thing that's happened to me is The Sox winning the world series. And that was just a gift from god for the fans that have been watching for 60 years. If there were just like 5 less Red Sox fans in the world they would've lost b/c god punishes me in every sport.

The Eagles are the only one in any position. The Phillies are not going to win anything thanks to their inept GM and ownership, the Sixers are stuck in cap hell for the next 6 years, and who knows when the Flyers are coming back...

Haven't the Sooners won the title in your lifetime? Seriously- stop acting like a drama queen. My favourite football team has won one playoff game in franchise history

In 1985 when I was 1 year old and 2000......so yeah......but losing two straight and getting drummed in the last one can make you forget that one in 2000.

So all of my teams(save the celtics) are in a good position to win they just never finish!

There's something Bill Simmons calls the "5 year grace period", which means that when your team wins a title, you are pretty much not allowed to bitch for another 5 years about your team. Which means that after 2005, you can rightfully bitch about Oklahoma again.

Think about Denver fans, they can finally bitch this coming season about Shanahan-Plummer...

So what's the grace period for the Pats? 15 years? Hey, as long as they stay competitive (i.e. over .500 and in the hunt) I'll be happy. Don't want to be getting greedy here (Though seeing a three-peat would be pretty nice).

Oh yeah, gates of hell are about to open in Denver.

Baltimore fans only complained about Elvis Grbac and they had good reason. For the most part, they have been very "eh, next year" about it.

2010.

It's only five years after the title.

Well unless our new group of kids next year turn out to be monsters then I can rightfully bitch after next season.

But there should be a clause in it that says if your team continually makes it back and fails you can bitch. Because that is like a huge tease.

The 5 years grace period has been off for a long time for The Celtics and Eagles though.

*bitches more*

Have the Eagles ever won a Super Bowl?

Cause I don't remember them winning.

So if they never won, they never even HAD a grace period.

Well they won an NFL championship if that counts as a title for the team......

1960 was their last title, in the pre-Super Bowl era, so yeah we've had plenty to bitch about in the last nearly 40 years...

Wait...did Hoge pick the Patriots?

DAMN!

Him being right just sucks. He's still a moron for the score he picked, but DAMN.

That's the real downside of a Patriots title, Hoge was finally right.

Bastard.

Well I've only been a fan of the team for well.....let's see I started in 92 but quit watching football b/c of the crowd I fell into around 96.

Then came back in 2003 so I guess that would only make me a fan of the team for 6 years but I'm not ever going to change allegiances unless Donovan McNabb rapes my mom or something and even then if he had a good reason I'd forgive him. So yeah....I'll bitch.

Most of the ESPN picks for the Pats were pretty much in the range for what the score was, about 3-6 points. Hoge looked like a complete moron saying that it was going to be 45-10, but then again he looks like a moron all the time....

Chris "Mad Dog" Russo's theory on this is that you can only brag about your team's championships that you were alive for and watched closely. For example, a Packer fan who started watching in 1990 has no right to brag about the championships they won in the 50s and 60s.

He also has the Yankee rule for baseball. If your team has one at least one championship during your time as a fan, you can't complain. But since the Yankee's have an absurd payroll, they should win every year and should be criticized if they don't.

I agree with that. People are like "Oh how can you root for the Braves when they lose in heartbreaking fashion every year," and I say that since they've given me one title in my lifetime- then that's good enough.

Getting to feel that moment and run and around scream for my team makes up for all the failures.

I refuse to type J-- L------ until they win another one though.
