My thing about Room Raiders is, they have these incredibly attractive girls on college campuses( the last like 18 episodes I have seen were all at UGA) and none of them can find a boyfriend and they must resort to going on MTV and having some weird dude go through their room. Althouh, the most entertaining ones were when the three girls raid the frat boys room and there is some naked girl just chilling in what i presume to be his bed. Then the two girls who didnt get picked just grab some random frat boys. I also loved the one where the two people already knew each other. Room Raiders is funny shit most of the time.

The youth culture of today is so fucking ridiculously lame it startles me. Or more acurately MTV culture since lots of kids don't buy into it, thank God.

Whatever happened to counerculture? Advertisers and MTV's grasp of what's cool has always been corporate and lame, but it horrifies me what's being presented as entertainment. Apparently the cool thing to do is be completely vapid, talentless, stupid and wasteful.

Being smart used to actually be a trait people admired! Even smugness and over-cynicism is better than applauding just sheer worthlessness.

The thing I never understood about MTV, is that they are so anal about hiding the rampant marijuana use by Real Worlders which many, (including Jamie from San Diego and Cara from Chicago) delve into, when in reality, it is very common among late teens and older and really barely even considered a crime in the more civilized parts of the country, yet they have no problem filming teenagers obtaining fake IDs and sneaking into bars, downing mass quanities of alcohol, getting drunk, hungover etc......The way product placement is so sneaky these days, I wouldn't be suprised to hear Busch(the beermaker not the president) is paying MTV to show a "culture of alcohol" going on, to help promote it as "fun" to youngsters. Now of course this is not to say young people didn't drink before MTV, OF COURSE THEY DID, but the power of television can definately up the ante.

Not to mention consuming mass quantities of alcohol is way more dangerous and harmful than sparking a doobie(which really isn't very harmful at all).
