HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Here's hoping my hitters finally start showing up and doing what I expect them to do *glares at Posada & Giambi* I also have four pitchers starting today, 3 of whom can either be excellent or implode.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 And Mike Cameron's heading to the 15 Day DL. Wonderful here. Simply wonderful. Walking Wounded should've been my team name. *sigh* Oh well, at least I can rotate my offense around this little mishap. Unfortunately, my offense has done jackshit. Except the lone guy named Jose Valentin whose on my FUCKING BENCH. Urgh...
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 Now that the minimum innings pitched is down to 24 innings it looks like i'll make it, though after Weaver and El Duque went a combined 15 innings giving up just 1 run i was in good shape to make the 30 anyway. And it's only after two games, but my taking a chance on Clint Barmes looks to be working out quite well. Eligible at 2B and SS, playing half his games in Coors and hitting ahead of Todd Helton, my weakest position was Izturis at Shortstop and if Barmes works out i'll have solved that problem already. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Barry Zito probably cost me any chance of winning my matchup.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Walking Wounded should've been my team name. Your team has nothing on my sportsline.com fantasy basketball team. I don't think there was one week in the season where my team didn't have one player out with an injury or a suspension. Plus, they were always key players like Pau Gasol, Tim Duncan, Brad Miller, or Manu Ginobili. The cool thing is that, despite this, I am still likely going to finish 2nd. Anyway, it looks like I am going to win my game here this week. Thankfully, my three Tiger players filled in admirably for my injured guys. I just hope that trend will continue next week. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 I've got four guys on the DL now (Gagne, Crosby, Alou and now Madritsch) Gagne will be back earlier than the rest. Crosby might not be worth keeping around if Alex Gonzalez turns out to be a good emergency fill in. Madritsch and Alou are ???'s, but I think I might be more inclined to keep Madritsch over Alou just because my pitching needs more help than my offense right now. Im also getting hammered 9-1. Hopefully, next week will be better.
treble 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 My old-man pitching staff isn't working out so hot. Only Schmidt is doing any good and that's only been one start.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Harley. I accidentally pressed the Accept Trade button, for the Morris for Wood trade and I do not want to make that trade.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 (edited) Harley. I accidentally pressed the Accept Trade button, for the Morris for Wood trade and I do not want to make that trade. Ok, Vern, just find at least 5 other people who will vote against the trade and it'll be nulled. So that's 6 of 18 people. Oh and that's before tomorrow, cause once its processed, your screwed. Or at least that's the understanding I got when HQ was telling me if someone makes a blunder, its done. I'll let him clarify though, since the official trade stuff on the first post of this thread isn't awfully clear. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Wait... So I'm getting K. Wood now? ... er, I ... m'kay. Still though, clear up the situation on the something like that happening again HQ.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Okay... If something occurs like this again, have the owner PM me or hit me up on AIM. If the owner meant to accept another trade then veto the one he accidentally selected and the owner should accept the one he meant to choose. Note: If people start PMing me numerous times (3-4 times) saying they didn't want such-such trade accepted after giving it a day of thought after accepting, I'm gonna tell them tough shit and that they should've paid more attention when clicking. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Let it through Slapnuts, Vern gave the OK on the deal thus both parties have agreed to it and it's now a binding contract.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2005 Anyone want 'sack of crap' Javier Vasquez? Three shitty performances is enough for me, someone else can deal with him.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 Mariano Rivera may be availible for the right deal... I'll trade you Kolb.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 I officially hate my offense who can't seem to go a week while producing every day. Instead they decide to either start hot and cool off (Week 2) or start cold and finish strong (Week 1). I'm in dead last...and all while my pitching is doing really, really well.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 My team performs to expectations this week, winning every offensive category by a comfortable margin, and that's with guys like Beltre, Rolen and Teixeira yet to really get going. If they get hot and i can get at least one or two stats from my cruddy pitching staff every week things should be looking OK. Hopefully Pedro Astacio can keep performing well and make up for Javier Vasquez bombing badly, though giving me damn near anything will be better than what Home Run Javy's done for me. razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 I'll trade you Vinny and some minor league players for those 3....
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 I'm actually happy with my team's effort last week. Just half of them had to have a few days off, so I lost, but honestly, I couldn't've asked a better performance from my offense for when they did show up. My pitching on the other hand is what I'd like to see come up better.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 I cant really complain much..I think I got the steal of the draft in the 13th round..Mike Hampton is 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. If the Braves offense would show up when he pitches he'd be 3-0. Having Peavy, Oswalt and Hampton gives me some confidence about my pitching staff even though I only have one closer at the moment. Offensively, Im going nuts trying to fill in 2B/SS. Im trying Geoff Blum at 2B now that he'll be filling in at 2B for the Padres for the next month. I dont know how long Im gonna stick with Álex González at SS, but theres very few options at SS in Free Agency.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 Orlando Hudson's decent at 2B. If you can trade me someone who will actually start for me (read any decent hitter regardless of position), I'll trade you Hudson. Shit, make me a good offer and I might trade you Reyes.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2005 Yeah, options are pretty bad lately. Oh and if you give me an worthy offer Marvin, I'll let you take either Valentin or Uribe if you really want either SS. Valentin is now classified as a 3B, and Uribe can jostle around from 2B, 3B to SS. So if needed can fill out some roles. ...weirdly enough almost all my infielders can easily move around the IF. Funny how that worked out.
