nogoodnick Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 ESPN reports: Robinson to New Orleans Rockets aquire Mike James Celtics stockpile more draft picks from Cavs VAN HORN traded ESPN.com
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Cleveland gave up way too much for a bench type player.
The Czech Republic Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Do the Celtics officially have every draft pick yet?
Ripper Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Cleveland gave up way too much for a bench type player. Have you seen Welsh play when not playing with a Paul Pierce and Gary Payton. Thats like having two black holes on the court at once. When he was in Dallas and Golden State, you could see what the kid could do in stretches. He is a shooter that works hard on the defensive end, and honestly, Clevlands first rounder isn't going to be THAT valuble. Its not like the olden days when that was a automatic lottery pick.
nogoodnick Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 Also Cleveland's pick is in 2007. By then they will probably have one of the worst picks in the draft.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I would doubt it. The Cleveland owners will find some way to fuck the team over by the time the 2007 draft gets here.
Ripper Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I would doubt it. The Cleveland owners will find some way to fuck the team over by the time the 2007 draft gets here. Unless they decide to start paying Lebron James in cocaine or something, I don't see how they can make the team that bad.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 They've done it before. It only took them an offseason to blow up a team that had just set a record in points allowed. Cleveland management always finds a way to keep the team bad.
nogoodnick Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 Van Horn traded to Dallas for Booth and Hendersen. Van Horn trade

Cleveland management always finds a way to keep the team bad. Oh please, its not like you guys are the Hawks or something. Atlanta traded away their franchise player during the All-Star break when they had the number one record in the league. Its like if San Antonio had traded Tim Duncan last week. Cleveland got old and had to start over, thats all.
2GOLD Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Van Horn traded to Dallas for Booth and Hendersen. Van Horn trade Wait wait...Dallas willingly took Keith Van Horn? Welp, there goes the chances of my favorite NBA team winning the title. The hopes were already bleak since Dallas doesn't know what the hell defense is, but Cuban actually made a way to make it even darker. VAN HORN.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 An ESPN.com report claimed Seattle was seeking to trade Ray Allen to Boston for Paul Pierce. I hope that happens

What is it about Van horn and his 16 and 8 that people are so afraid of. Its 16 fucking points and 8 fucking rebounds a game at least. He is just not a superstar, and once people stop trying to make him one, they will realize that he is a very good role player.
Black Lushus Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 agreed, I didn't mind him during his short stay in New York, the rest of the team sucked...it wasn't HIS fault...
2GOLD Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 An ESPN.com report claimed Seattle was seeking to trade Ray Allen to Boston for Paul Pierce. I hope that happens Ummmm, why the hell would Seattle trade the player that has helped them get the third best record in the Western Conference? Pierce isn't bad but I don't understand why they would make that deal at all. As for Van Horn, I watched him when he was in Philly and the guy is a black hole. Yeah, he may get 16 and 8 but he could easily be averaging 10 more than that and tons more boards. He misses plays, he lets balls bounce off his hands left and right and most of the time he can't figure out what the hell a lay-up is. Dealt with him in Philly, don't want to see him in Dallas. The guy is a living anchor.

The guy is a living anchor. See, thats what I am talking about. People trash Van Horn because he doesn't put up 28 and 15 a game, and ignore that 16 and 8 are damn good numbers. I watched Van Horn in Philly too, and hey, the guy hit some big shots for then...and Jersey on the way to their finals run too. But he still got trashed and traded because he didn't put up allstar numbers.
nogoodnick Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 I think if that many teams keep getting rid of KVH there may be some merit to the claims of him being a stiff.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Ripper if you're going to quote posts that have my post quoted within then you best damn well talk about what I put too. Now get to talking bout Paul Pierce for Ray Allen. Which I would guess is a move Seattle is looking at because they can't lock-up Allen beyond this year.
2GOLD Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I don't expect All Star, but missing easy plays is what is annoying. He is so streaky that it's scary. The last thing Dallas needed was a streaky player. Some nights he makes the easy plays and the 16/8 looks very good. Other nights he blows lay-ups and the 16/8 isn't a miracle, it just doesn't even come close. Some may like him, I find him to be garbage not worth two players. Not to mention his hideous contract. And he's a 10/5 this year, not a 16/8
Brett Favre Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 The Knicks made two trades: Mohammed to the Spurs for Rose and their 1st Round Pick. Baker and Moochie for Taylor and their 1st Round Pick. Further into salary cap hell, but now with 3 1st Round Picks in the upcoming draft. Eh, I don't know what to think.

Is the salary cap in the NBA just a suggestion? When haven't the Knicks been in salary cap hell? I'm yet to understand how the salary cap in the NBA works.
nogoodnick Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 I am so pissed that the Blazers made no trades. Shareef needed to be traded and they didn't get it done. Derek Andersen is worthless too. And they have some nice expiring contracts and moved none of them. I think it would be beneficial to the team to just cut SAR since they dont want to play him or bring him back next year.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 The NBA needs a hard salary cap and also needs to stop giving out weird styles of contracts.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 The Bucks are morons, plain and simple. They trade away these guys hoping to free up some $$$ to re-sign Redd, but how do they expect to do that when you surround him with less than average players? He's still going to leave... watch.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Antoine Walker is heading back to Boston (Why?), Gary Payton to Atlanta. There are more guys involved, but these are the main two. Poor Gary...
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 ESPN reports Antoine Walker is back in Boston and Gary Payton is in Atlanta but no details yet. Poor Gary Payton . EDIT: Beat me by a second.
Fökai Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 This is all part of the master plan of Danny Ainge, guys. I smell a Dino Radja return.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Woohoo! I can wear my Antoine Walker jersey again! *happy dance*
Cartman Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ainge is a turd...I have supported him through every move until now. That is terrible. Unless they spin pierce for Allen like was said earlier this is really really dumb. Fatoine is garbage. Back to the days of 8734682356785 3-pointers at about 27% accuracy.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Baron Davis is officially a Warrior. So much for him to want to play for a winner...
