Two 1B and 4 OF starting and 6 bench players is a bit overboard but I shall exploit this to cheat-2-win changing players on a daily basis.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted April 2, 2005 I hate when people make a change every day. In a league last year, someone made 128 different moves (not counting trades), and still got his ass kicked by me in the playoffs.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2005 My Current Lineup For TSM H2H League: C) Miguel Olivo 1B) Scott Hatteberg 2B) Bret Boone SS) Juan Uribe 3B) Aaron Boone OF) Jim Edmonds OF) Scott Podsednik OF) Marcus Cameron UT) Marquis Grissom BN) Heep Sop Choi - 1B BN) Gabe Gross - OF (he made the Jays ) BN) Jose Valentin - SS (will play third base) DL) Frank Thomas - UT DL) Barry Bonds - OF SP) Jason Marquis SP) Chris Carpenter SP) Andy Pettitte SP) Cliff Lee SP) Gil Meche RP) Juan Rincon RP) Steve Shields BN) Matt Morris (on 15DL) Stats for league batters: Runs, HR, RBI, Steals, OBP Stats for league pitchers: Wins, Ks, Saves, ERA, WHIP Where I think I'm good is with my batting. Pretty good all-around there, but I'm most likely lose in OBP as most of my guys aren't great for it. However, I'll likely take most of the stats. If Bonds and Thomas both return before the season gets too far in, and if Gabe Gross continues his hot swing, I'll be setting quite pretty. So I'm more or less happy here. My pitching on the other hand I know is my weak point (which I even made worse by going after Bonds and Marquis for Halladay and Damon, just mere days before Bonds goes down). Not that I've got a bad staff, I don't have a closer so I'm conceding saves. Most of my pitchers aren't known guys for Ks except Lee and Pettite, so I'll probably lose that too. Yet on the other hand, I have 3 Cardinals pitchers so I think I'll do ok for Wins, ERA, and WHIP. Any comments on my team? Other than the fact that I fucked up hugely with that trade concerning Halladay and Damon for Bonds and Marquis (the whole league laughs at me as is). Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2005 Will the Boone boys play the whole season this year and what about Cameron how bad is his wrist? That's about my only concern is the Boones. I think Bret will be alright, and I'm just hoping Aaron sticks around. If Aaron goes, I can always move Uribe to 3B and Valentin to SS, or if Bret goes down I can move Uribe to 2B and Valentin to SS. So I'm covered there. Cameron's wrist is good to go apparently, he's scheduled to start this week (day to day) but we'll see how that plays out.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 AL-only money league, hopefully 12 teams (but probably 11), auction draft with $260 salary cap. This is a list of my keepers. The draft is this Sunday. C Joe Mauer 2-3 15 2B Omar Infante 2nd year 5 3B Bill Mueller X 3 SS Bobby Crosby 1-2 15 (signing to a 2-year contract) OF Chone Figgins 2nd year 1 OF Aaron Rowand 2nd year 3 P Brendan Donnelly X 1 P John Lackey 2nd year 4 P Brad Radke 2nd year 15 P Freddy Garcia 2nd year 17 P Bob Wickman 2nd year 10 P Mike Timlin 2nd year 1 That's $90 in total salary by my math, leaving me $170 for my 13 open slots. Any fantasy players within driving distance of Baltimore who want in on the league? It's short notice, but we need one more owner ASAP (someone had to drop out unexpectedly after taking a job overseas). PM me if interested.
