spman 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Picked this up today at Wal-Mart, and I only scanned through it really quickly, but for those who were wondering, the entire ending to the Rumble is there in it's entirety, including the accidental finish and Vince tearing his quad. From what I could see, the only edits were to cover up the numerous blown spots during Undertaker vs Heidenreich. Extras include some additional interviews, an additional Royal RUmble montage, and a few exclusive segments, the most interesting of which is Cena abd Batista shaking hands int he ring after the cameras went off. spman 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Did they fix the Rhyno/Maven match? I actually don't think it's even included on the disc, which is why I edited my post. I only took a quick look at the extras, but even though the back of the box says that there should be an extra match, no extra match is listed int he menu on the disc. I can see why they would cut it out given the circumstances, but they should have fixed the packaging.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 The New Year's Revolution DVD also mentions an extra match on the box, but there isn't actually any. My RR2005 copy is in transit so I guess I'll check it soon. The West Side Story promo is there in full?

My copy is in trasit so I guess I'll check it soon. The West Side Story promo is there in full? And I don't get why they don't. Collesium used to print the boxes in advance, but since WWE Home Video took over, they tend to update even to the point of revealing a mystery partner or last minute replacement on the box, yet don't fix this. If you look on the back of Summerslam 03, they still advertise Hardy vs. Gowen, which never happened at the event, even going as fat as including a picture of a diving Gowen on the back of the box. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 My guess is they didn't have enough space left on the disc since they also included the spanish commentary track as a bonus.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Did they fix the Rhyno/Maven match? What was wrong w/ it? The television signal screwed up in the middle of the match and we got a Technical Difficulties picture with Steve Austin. It came back on for the finish. Aero 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Is the Rumble Match video package on there? I was pissed they got rid of it on PPV due to time constraints. It was shown on Heat.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 A couple things: -For the Cena/Batista staredown, you can clearly hear Cena say "no lockup, just come out throwing punches." -After the restart, Batista tries the same finish again, but Cena is smart and you can hear him say "no no no" as he punches out of it, and then say "give me a spinebuster and throw me over". -There are some funny miscommunication spots in the Rumble, like Rey kicking Shelton right as he's supposed to be setting up for a Stinger splash on Edge, Edge staggering into a chokeslam from Kane at the wrong time, causing him to stagger aimlessly for a few moments, and other little things. I hate when they edit out blown spots, hey it happened let it be I'm guessing deep down, Vince and staff know there is entertainment value in seeing him injure himself and that if it was edited out, it could cause a few people out there to not buy the dvd. Plus, it would look really dumb to show Vincy just sitting there for no reason. As for Taker (Didn't actually see the casket match), it was probably WWE's intention to improve the presentation of the match by editing out the blown spots. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2005 You know why I don't like editing blown spots, or even people chanting you fd up? Cuz even if wrestling was 100 percent real, moves would get messed up all the time. As long as they don't repeat the spot, I'm cool with it (like angle improvising after brocks aborted ssp) I guess what I mean is, I want the exact replica of the ppv on my dvds is this too much to ask? (and besides 98 percent of the people who bought the dvd proabbly skipped over the casket match chapter) besides, I saw the rumble live on ppv and don't remember there being tremendously bad blown spots during that match oh and yea I saw the edge/kane thing live and noticed it then I knew cena was calling his spots to bat, I just couldnt hear the tv well over my friends yelling. thanks for the info on the dvd guys , I probably will pick it up now that I here vinnymacs slip and slide 2k5 is on there (as opposed to wwe editing out ultimo dragon's slip and slide 2k4 on the wm xx disc)
