Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2005 http://www.lex18.com/global/story.asp?s=29...tType=Printable ----------- CLARK COUNTY Student Arrested For Terroristic Threatening Says Incident A Misunderstanding A George Rogers Clark High School junior arrested Tuesday for making terrorist threats told LEX 18 News Thursday that the "writings" that got him arrested are being taken out of context. Winchester police say William Poole, 18, was taken into custody Tuesday morning. Investigators say they discovered materials at Poole's home that outline possible acts of violence aimed at students, teachers, and police. Poole told LEX 18 that the whole incident is a big misunderstanding. He claims that what his grandparents found in his journal and turned into police was a short story he wrote for English class. "My story is based on fiction," said Poole, who faces a second-degree felony terrorist threatening charge. "It's a fake story. I made it up. I've been working on one of my short stories, (and) the short story they found was about zombies. Yes, it did say a high school. It was about a high school over ran by zombies." Even so, police say the nature of the story makes it a felony. "Anytime you make any threat or possess matter involving a school or function it's a felony in the state of Kentucky," said Winchester Police detective Steven Caudill. Poole disputes that he was threatening anyone. "It didn't mention nobody who lives in Clark County, didn't mention (George Rogers Clark High School), didn't mention no principal or cops, nothing," said Poole. "Half the people at high school know me. They know I'm not that stupid, that crazy." On Thursday, a judge raised Poole's bond from one to five thousand dollars after prosecutors requested it, citing the seriousness of the charge. Poole is being held at the Clark County Detention Center. --------- ...I just don't have the words for these people

Columbine happened when Clinton and his staff were in charge. Much better... -=Mike ...You know WHY stories like this now cause such problems? It was that little event in CO... 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2005 Yeah, but people REALLY have to use better judgement now. Story about Zombies...unless you have ZOMBIES in your school and you are afraid he is going to committ a hate crime against them, then don't do it. This was like arresting that little girl who had SAFETY SCISSORS to open a CD case. Man, white kids screwing up everything. First they screw up moshing and now they are screwing up future horror writers.

Well, Stephen is the only man brave enough to give us the "what would have happened if Old Yeller got out" story. But lately his horror is miserable. Next he's going to write a horror story about nothing but band-aids and ovaltine.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 5, 2005 I meant more along the lines of every minor thing in school being construed as a possible terrorist act. For that I blame the whole failed Home Land Security thing which is just out there to teach us colors are scary and terrorists are everywhere. Are you saying that Pet Cemetary and The Shining are the drizzling shits?

For that I blame the whole failed Home Land Security thing which is just out there to teach us colors are scary and terrorists are everywhere. Are you saying that Pet Cemetary and The Shining are the drizzling shits? I will. Those stories disappointed me greatly. King has been on a strong downward plunge lately in which he tries to be creepy and ends up being just boring.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 5, 2005 Also, if you think about this the people that are calling for the charges against this obviously believe that there are powers out there to raise the dead. Oh, and his grandparents suck.

As is The Stand, which is another awesome book.

Oh, and his grandparents suck. Keep in mind it IS Kentucky. Part of that state still think television is black magic and that witches won't sink to the bottom of a pond. Maybe his grandparents are necromancers and they feared him?
Special K 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2005 You conservatives make me sick. When Clinton was in office, we had ZERO ZOMBIE THREAT. Now Bush in in office, fuckin' zombies are running are running all over the place, because we provoked them! America with its snooty 'Oh, we're completely living and not thirsting for brains' policy. That just makes them want to eat brains people! And now we have to hire illegal immigrants (guitar wolf) to slake their first with rock 'n fuckin' roll. I would have thought the documentary 'Wild Zero' would have dissuaded you fucks from this course of action.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2005 Frankly I'm a little more worried about the teenage boys who aren't writing horror stories and doing other things kids are supposed to do. It's the quiet brooding type you have to worry about.

For that I blame the whole failed Home Land Security thing which is just out there to teach us colors are scary and terrorists are everywhere. Are you saying that Pet Cemetary and The Shining are the drizzling shits? Pretty much, yes. Give him a non-horror motif and King is usually excellent. Have him write horror and his stuff tends to be rather bad. You conservatives make me sick. When Clinton was in office, we had ZERO ZOMBIE THREAT. Now Bush in in office, fuckin' zombies are running are running all over the place, because we provoked them! America with its snooty 'Oh, we're completely living and not thirsting for brains' policy. Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 6, 2005 Whomever runs for president in 08 should let Kentucky know he's clearly against the uprising of the undead. That'll gain him a few electoral votes.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Sometimes I wonder how certain teachers, staff, and faculty get their jobs in the first place. Because now anyone can be a teacher and then demand a wage 60% of them don't deserve while the ones who deserve the raise are left shafted because they cared more about the students than sucking up. I think that about covers it.

Bush has been rather lax on his undead immigration policies. -=Mike But zombies can do the lousy jobs that no living person wants to take, and they'll accept rancid meat as payment. That's a boon to the economy! Hell, I'm fairly sure you could train any zombie to replace CronoT in a job.
