How could I forget.

I mean, shit, seriously, I don't know how I forgot about him.

The opening British match was at a poor pace for the crowd, hence the "E C Dub" chants, and really, everyone hoping for *something* to fucking happen. Working an 80s match in this environment is never going to work - this is something the bookers should have worked out beforehand.

Apart from this, everything worked out well enough. The Japanese 6 man was the match of the night, with great near falls and a bunch of awesome spots. Punk / Joe was great, even building off of their previous matches and working a great (if too short) match. Styles / Daniels was good if unspectacular, and nothing we've never seen before.

Overall, a great card backed up by great workers wanting to make an impression. The crowd were hot, and the atmosphere was great, despite the shitty microphones and predictable Foley appearances.

Well worth checking out

What a fucking unbelievable shock that Alex Shane would book himself over Misawa on a card like this.

Also, note a few details. The set was identical to the one used by his little fed at thier show in the same arena, the turnbuckle pads had FWA on them, the dark match was a gang of FWA jobbers.

Alex Shane. Doing his best for British Wrestling. And for you.

I really enjoyed the show and the fanfest prior to it. Got to meet more or less all the stars appearing on the show. The best one was meeting Joe and getting a hug off him.

I think regardless of what some people think of him (I've got nothing against him btw), Alex Shane should be commended for helping to put on and run such a fantastic show.....where would they have been without the use of FWA's ring, talent and connections? I honestly think that last's nights event and the whole day will go down as the best wrestling card that's occured in the UK for absolutely ages and it will really take a hell of an effort to top it, just an incredible effort from all involved and let's just hope we can get another one at a later date. Just thanks to everyone for making it such an awesome event!

I agree kudos are indeed in order for Mr. Shane. I think the card was arranged fantastically with the contrast between stles of match in the second half of the show being one of things I liked most about the show. I really hope another show like this can be arranged not too far into the distant future.

No one's looking at the big picture, are they? Look what's getting attention: Shane's suicide bump. Who produced the show, yet did fuck all to promote it: Alex Shane. Who put himself in a match and then had it booked above the billed main event: Alex Shane. Who put himself in a promo with Mick Foley and made sure he got the attention: Alex Shane. Just saying

I do find it funny his "boy" James Tighe in the main event.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I've met Tighe and hung out with him, and he's a nice guy, and I wish him the best - but he doesn't belong in the main event of an FWA Show

Tighe wasn't in the main event. Yet, now you're unhappy his match didn't go on in the main event?

Not that you're bitter or anything.

Oh I'm not bitter, but a guy I know tried to put together a show of this magnitude a few years back only for Shane to kill it. I'm upset that a scumbag like Shane is getting the credit for this.

Yeah. It involved Stevie Knight and the gang of midgets the FWA empoys (Aviv Mayaan, etc)

Stevie Knight... That's almost as good as Robbie Brookside >_>

In fairness to Alex Shane, he did have a war of words with his opponent Raven for two consecutive weeks in a national newspaper (the Daily Star) which surely will have garnered the event more attention. Also, it makes sense that he booked himself on the card (in a match he lost, despite having outside inteference to help him before the Foley run in) seeing as he is the champion of Britain's biggest promotion
