Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Undecided? OSU is going to roll to the Sweet 16 with ease. And I doubt OU will take anyone lightly b/c they've been upset so much they know what that's like. But I think Gray and Bookout could handle Boggut or however you say it. Guest Ether Report post Posted March 14, 2005 7. Someone talk me out of picking West Viginia over Wake. Becuase it looks real good right now. WVU lives and dies by the 3-pointer. I know it sounds cliche, but when their shooting is on, they can beat anybody - see their run in the Big East Tournament. When it is off, they can lose to anybody, like a horrible Marshall (WVU went 3 for 18 from 3-point range that game). Would Wake have anybody to defend their 6' 11" 3-point shooting center Kevin Pittsnogle? I know Pitt had a hard time; he went on fire in both games to erase those late 11 point leads Pitt had on WVU. I know when Syracuse held him in check, Syracuse stopped WVU's run.

Alro 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 After hearing where Louisville was seeded, I was anticipating a 3 seed for Kentucky. I'm content with the 2 seed since they screwed the pooch today. Nobody to blame but UK. The Cards flat out got shit on. The two other CUSA teams are a 7 and a third is an 11. So what the selection committe is saying that if the number 6 team in the country didn't win their conference tournament then they would have been at best a 7? Fuck that. UK is 7 and 0 against EKU with none of the games being close. Even Coach Travis Ford (former UK player) can't help Eastern.

teke184 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 LSU has a decent shot at the Sweet Sixteen... UAB doesn't exactly scare me as a first round team and LSU has had Arizona's number for much of the past 5-6 years. Past that, it would be pretty hard road because they'd be facing probably Oklahoma State (one of the better 2 seeds) and Illinois (the #1 seed of the whole tourney), although Texas or BC could also come out of the top half of the bracket. It would be almost a virtual HOME game for 'Nati. don't get me wrong Indy will be packed with their share of UK fans as well but the heat in Lexi/Cincy will be hot for the next week due to the HUGE game that would be...it would be a different scenario if it were played in Tucson or something but that close to your opp's home field, its always a danger. UC has nothing to lose as well...
smh810 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Both UNC and Duke are overrated. UNC's starting 5 is great but depth is still a problem there. If May has foul problems theyre in trouble. Plus, you know Roy Williams will find a way to gag it.

mike546 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 I like OU's draw. I can see us rolling to the Sweet 16. And I think we can take Duke. We almost had them in MSG until Terrell Everett took us right out of the game. That won't happen this time. I think OU will get too physical for JJ Reddick. He already didn't know what the hell to do when they were banging him around at MSG. And Igg......GT will NOT make it to the Final Four. No way. And fuck Duke. Fuck them in their stupid asses. And Syracuse gets a 4 and UConn gets a 2????? FUCK THAT. Those seed should be switched! Why should that be switched? Conference tourney doesn't mean EVERYTHING. UConn beat Syracuse twice this year. Plus, UConn went 1-1 against Pitt, while Cuse went 0-2. Cuse struggled down the stretch, UConn was hot. Yeah but UConn got absolutely bitch slapped by OU. I'd love to see them meet up again in the tourney so we could bitch slap them again. I think 'Cuse goes deeper than UConn. When we played you early in the season, UConn was really struggling. Were playing are best basketball right now, and if we played you again, we'd block your slap and then bitch slap you back to Oklohoma.

fairtoflair7 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Pretty unhappy at first that GW got shafted with a 12 seed but we got a hard draw in Gtech as a 5. We can beat them. They play the same style>>>run and gun/dunks/up and down court>>game could be in the 100's and a possible upset.

As far as GTech, I think they just have better athletes and a bigger front court, GW is gonna have to play their best game to beat them.
Guest spidyfan77 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I cannot believe U of L got a fucking 4 seed. We are going to be top 5 in the new polls, we are 29-4. What do we have to do, people? What truly terrifies me is that we'll pull a Gonzaga and tank the 1st round due to being pissed over the seed. The saddest irony here is that if we can get past the 2nd round (likely Ga Tech) then we're going to the FF. Washington is the biggest bullshit 1 seed possibly ever....how can a team be a 1 when there are FOUR teams better in the region (Wake, U of L, Gonzaga for sure since they BEAT Washington, and even Ga Tech). And yes I do like that WVU over Wake 2nd round upset...hell my brother keeps insisting Wake is jobbing to Chattanooga, haha. I think that is insane but not WVU. Basically U of L's main shot resides in GW upsetting Ga Tech, and I think it can happen. It's a 5/12 game prone to upsets and GW did beat Michigan St. and Maryland this year. I think UK is finished after today, you do NOT job out twice to Matt Walsh and go far. In fact I have the UK Curse of CUSA continuing one more time with Cincy in the 2nd round. My FF is: Illinois, U of L (yes I'm just optimistic), UNC (there isn't anyone I feel real good about beating them in that bracket), and Dama you'll like it that I have Oklahoma. Not sure why but it seemed to make since given my UK 2nd round tankjob and that Duke will have so many teams they already beat wanting another piece (Mich St is who I have beating them, but also OU might want some again). I have Illinois winning it all though I don't feel good about it.

Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 When's the last time a conference got three teams in the Final Four? I really think it could happen this year. Illinois and OSU are probably the most dangerous teams outside of the ACC and they're in the same bracket. I believe that would be 2000. MSU played Wisconsin and beat them for the third time that year, and Florida beat Indiana. Not positive on that but about 95% sure. Austin region: (1) Duke vs. (16) Delaware St. (8) Stanford vs. (9) Mississippi St. (5) Michigan St. vs. (12) Old Dominion (4) Syracuse vs. (13) Vermont (3) Oklahoma vs. (14) Niagara (6) Utah vs. (11) UTEP (7) Cincinnati vs. (10) Iowa (2) Kentucky vs. (15) E. Kentucky I am now the nation's biggest Vermont fan. Assuming that State beats ODU I have to pray they don't end up playing 'Cuse in round 2. If so, Warrick will destroy MSU inside. Ugh...
