Remember that episode of Roseanne where D.J. didn't want to make out with the black girl in the school play, prompting big fat Roseanne to call him a bigot?

Yeah, this thread is just as compelling.

Me, too.

I'm pretty sure at the end of the show the black kid's dad tried to come into Roseanne's eatery to talk with her about DJ, but Rosie and Jackie didn't let him in because it was night, the store was closed, and the guy was BLACK, thus making Roseanne ponder what a hypocritical white devil she was...

That's exactly how the show ended.

What a bunch of fucking losers we are.

I think the funniest part about that ending is that Roseanne and Jackie had no fear of being raped.

Why? That's the shit we grew up with.

Now you may have your street cred damaged by knowing this, but not only do I have my ghetto pass, but I just re-newed my dopey white guy membership card so I'm good...

I saw Roseanne for a few seconds on Entertainment Tonight last night. Time has certainly ravaged her.

Yeah, she looked so much better before.

I miss the old Nick at Nite, when they showed Car 54 and Mr. Ed...

Yeah, Nick at Nite shows shit that I saw growing up now, which just makes it less fun and makes me feel older.

Car 54 where are you marathons use to rule.

Car 54 where are you marathons use to rule.

I loved the opening credits where it showed Toddy and Muldoon (sorry for butchering the spelling) doing something zany in the car. My favorite was when Toddy handcuffs himself to Muldoon...

BUSTER POINDEXTER!

BUSTER POINDEXTER!

BUSTER POINDEXTER!

I still feel bad for McGinley though. He was in Red O'Neill in Platoon, which is how I prefer to think of him.

I grew up on Nick-at-Nite. When I got into it, they were airing shows like Mr. Ed, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dobie Gillis, Get Smart, Green Acres, F-Troop and even the occassional late-night SNL or Looney Tunes. The network was quality up until the mid-90s when they started to just import more crap from the late '70s like Maude.
