Because the OJ, you know, that's how.... everybody formed their opinion, right? I thought he was guilty because I'm a white guy. Black guys thought he was innocent. It makes sense. So, but, it was bad, though because it caused a racial divide in the country. I read that, once, in the paper. So it caused a racial divide in the country, and- which is a bad thing. You know? And so I say, ah, let’s let Barretta off, call if even. Fuck it. That makes sense, right? Then we close that divide, and then everybody'll like each other like the old days. But, um… goddamn I love Barretta. And also, think of all the joy Barretta’s given us. I just, I'm on his side, because, that um... woman he killed, goddamn! Shouldn't that come into play at all, who you kill? Shouldn't the guy be able to say, "One thing, here's who he killed.”? You're not allowed to do that, everybody's the same, apparently. You kill the president or some whore that's fucking a hundred guys and wants to steal your kid, it's the same crime. But, I hope he gets off. He’s ah- he seems like a nice guy. And ah- does not have the strongest of alibis, I'll say that. I've never heard, actually, a weaker alibi, than the one, ah, Robert Blake has, which appears to me to be this... He’s like, “That couldn't have been me. I couldn't have shot my wife. I have an airtight alibi." “What is it?” "I was getting my gun! … I have a restaurant full of witnesses that saw me getting my gun. I forgot- I got my gun, went back to the remote wooded area I left my wife at, and somebody shot her. Certainly wasn't me, I was getting the gun at the time. No eye witness, very shady and has one juror said untrustworthy witnesses, a victim who pissed off alot of people. The thing that pisses me off is that Elizabeth Smart got tons of media coverage.....she was like 15 she could have just walked away or something she was smart enough to get away if they were not holding her in a bound captive state....while the 8 year old black girl who was kidnapped and chewed through the ropes got like a passing mention right before the Cavs highlights when they still sucked. Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 I don't know if it has anything to do with good looking. this chick is on the news non stop now, has book deals and movie deals on the table and is getting interviewed by people everyday. Nichols attempted to rob a couple at an apartment on Lenox Road this part of the story, the guy is a friend of mine and used to work here with me. Not only has this part been cut down to one paragraph, he hasn't even gotten a name mention after he fought off the gun wielding killer pushed his girl into the apartment to save her and got struck with the gun twice in the head before the Nichols guy ran off. Okay, wow...the lady didn't get shot. AMAZING. I just find going toe to toe with a killer while getting hit with a gun and still fighting him off to be more impressive. They go, "ok, this person fought them off which makes the killer look weak which kills our special reports....or we take the woman who was with him last, build her up and run constant interview after interview with her to make us a ratings winner." Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Here is the only place i have seen it reported and they made my boy look like a pussy: The authorities have pieced together only parts of Mr. Nichols's path during the long hours that followed his escape. At some point after he left the green Honda behind at about 9:30 a.m. he took the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit train north to Buckhead, an upscale Atlanta neighborhood. At about 10:30 p.m., he accosted a woman, Iman Adan, 23, outside her apartment on Lenox Road and told her, "America's making war on him," Ms. Adan said. Mr. Nichols forced her at gunpoint to let him into her apartment, where he was confronted by her boyfriend, Shelton Warren, the police said. Mr. Nichols pounded Mr. Warren, 26, three times with a pistol and left, Ms. Adan said. I mean damn....that sounds like he just caught a beat down and it was over. What really happend was when he opened the door and saw the guy, he started to walk in with his girl, and he pulled his girl into the apartment and rushed dude outside and slammed the door behind him, yelling for his girl to lock the door, and they fought outside. The three shots to the head were no big deal, because he was just trying to stay close to him so he couldn't just shoot him. He said during the tussle the eventually had space in between him, but dude didn't shoot him and turned and ran off. That in no way is as heroic as doing...well...nothing. Another reason this isn't getting reported is because the police were saying how it wasn't Nichols because he was in a stolen car and not coming from marta so they didn't take the call all that serious. This really pissed off my friend because he was sure it was him and they were saying it couldn't have been.
