The wrestling magazine Powerslam over here in the UK said tha he wasn't signed because he appeared on a prior Indy show and told the crowd he was signed before it was a done deal....

Naw... its still a great signing.. Psicosis is still a good worker. Super Crazy is still half decent as well..

I'd like to be pleased by this but it depends on what kind of contract he has signed.

 

If it's just for the ECW PPV then that's cool. That way he could probably put on a good match and not become a squash boy on Velocity, or Smackdown if they are trying to get a "hoss" over, for the next three years.

They gave it back to Rey and acted like it never happenend after he went around without it for nearly three years.

 

Considering how low profile Psicosis' loss was, coupled with the fact that he was barely used after that, I'd say yes.

 

And lets not forget how cool his mask is. I still have a Psicosis mask someone picked up for me in Mexico.

It's how Psichosis is ALWAYS treated wherever he goes in N. America. He's beneath Rey (largely because he just isn't as solid in the ring). He is not somebody who will ever be a top guy, but he'll always be a good, solid mid-carder.

Well, the problem is, if a lucha gets unmasked, and tries to wear the mask again, people in Mexico get plenty damn pissed about it, even perhaps violently attacking the wrestler.

 

...at least that's what I'd heard about the Rey situation, and that's why when he was actually in Mexico on his DVD, he was unmasked (they blurred it out, though).

 

Psicosis is from Tijuana (at least I've always heard him announced as being from there), and if he lives in Mexico still, he might want to keep it off. Rey's a native-born US citizen who currently lives in the States. That's a little different.

 

Of course, some of this may be a little off, so if I'm wrong please correct me.

I wouldn't really call Psicosis good anymore. He's gone downhill a lot as a worker since his last WCW appearances.
