Actually, not one of the higher seeds is leading right now. I'm sure that Wake will come back, but Gonzaga could easily blow it, and Arizona likely will.

 

I've thought all along that Gonzaga would be more vulnerable in the first round than in the second or third. Watching them sleepwalk through a near-loss in Pullman was all it took to see how easily this team takes games off.

Seriously, its one thing to give chat a couple minute lead and such as you get warm but the half's almost over and they appear to still be taking their warmup suits off.

Nice no call there by the officials allows Wake to hit a three and cut it to a three point game headed into the half.

 

Obvious travelling call just TOTALLY ignored by the officials.

I think CHAT came into the Tournament with the same gameplan as Niagara. Just run down and throw the ball at the hoop. It works for awhile, they you start getting collapsed in on.

 

When they SET offense, they score. When they run and throw, they mess up. Wake should pull away late here unless CHAT screws their head on straight.

we're getting started with the second half and as expected, its still close @ all 4 games. Why hasnt Wake broken away? this is concerning me.

Nevada is slowly becoming the new Gonzaga of the NCAA tournament I swear. Last year they made a huge run and now they are about to bump out Texas.

 

Illinois better watch out and not turn their back on the Wolfpack.

2 wins over OK State, 1 over Texas Tech. Losses to mostly Tourney teams (OK, Kansas, Wake, T Tech, Iowa, Iowa State). They deserve to be here.

I still fail to see how PJ Tucker couldn't manage to pass a whopping TWO classes to stay academically eligible. Texas would probably have been in the Sweet 16 if his dumbass had put forth any effort at all.

Good size inside mostly. Course, I never pick against Olsen in the first round and most people still refuse to believe he has anything left in him. The guy could take a turd and make it into a Sweet 16 team.

I always thought LSU was the smarter upset special than Utah State. They have the legs to get to the Sweet 16.

They're 20-10!? They have an above .500 record in the Big XII?

For some reason I thought they'd lost more games than that and had an 8-9 conference record. I thought they finished the season 8-8 and then lost to Colorado in the Big XII tourney. Guess I just didn't pay attention to Texas.

I was in terms of Saturday though. 6 faces the 11, thus isn't an upset. Should've been clearer, but I thought everyone would've known what I meant.

I just have thought Arizona was overrated all year, and I thought that Utah State was one of the most dangerous mid-majors. They did beat Utah by 25 and then beat Pacific in the finals of the Big West Tourney. Also, the slow-down style they use is the same one that WSU used to beat the Wildcats in Tucson, and nearly pull off the sweep in Pullman.

 

As far as Utah State having the legs to pull off the upset, well apparently I was wrong on that one. I wish I could have watched the game to see what happened, but since I didn't, I really can't say why they lost.
