2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 In the early, "the hell" score, Chatt. is beating Wake by 8 with 7 minutes left in the first half.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Actually, not one of the higher seeds is leading right now. I'm sure that Wake will come back, but Gonzaga could easily blow it, and Arizona likely will. I've thought all along that Gonzaga would be more vulnerable in the first round than in the second or third. Watching them sleepwalk through a near-loss in Pullman was all it took to see how easily this team takes games off.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Wake does plan on playing tonight right? Seriously, its one thing to give chat a couple minute lead and such as you get warm but the half's almost over and they appear to still be taking their warmup suits off. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Nice no call there by the officials allows Wake to hit a three and cut it to a three point game headed into the half. Obvious travelling call just TOTALLY ignored by the officials.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 I think CHAT came into the Tournament with the same gameplan as Niagara. Just run down and throw the ball at the hoop. It works for awhile, they you start getting collapsed in on. When they SET offense, they score. When they run and throw, they mess up. Wake should pull away late here unless CHAT screws their head on straight.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 we're getting started with the second half and as expected, its still close @ all 4 games. Why hasnt Wake broken away? this is concerning me.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Wow now everyone is pulling away except for Zaga.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Texas/Nevada is still mighty close; Wake has finally seemingly went away from chat, Gonzo is still trading leads with wintro and as expected Arizona is ahead. Still trying to figure out the Utah St over Arizona sentiments around here.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Looks like Rick Barnes bunch is about to go bye-bye. Nevada is slowly becoming the new Gonzaga of the NCAA tournament I swear. Last year they made a huge run and now they are about to bump out Texas. Illinois better watch out and not turn their back on the Wolfpack.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 Looks like im about to go 7 for 9 if Texas cant pull this off here. at least it's a unimportant lost since i had tex out second round neways.

nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 2 wins over OK State, 1 over Texas Tech. Losses to mostly Tourney teams (OK, Kansas, Wake, T Tech, Iowa, Iowa State). They deserve to be here.

I can see where you're coming from, if someone didn't tell you Texas won 20 games, you'd never guess it. They were very quiet this year.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 I still fail to see how PJ Tucker couldn't manage to pass a whopping TWO classes to stay academically eligible. Texas would probably have been in the Sweet 16 if his dumbass had put forth any effort at all.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 18, 2005 seriously why did alot of idiots here and elsewhere think that arizona would lose to Utah st? was it one of those typical trendy picks where everyone tried to act like a genius?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 seriously why did alot of idiots here and elsewhere think that arizona would lose to Utah st? was it one of those typical trendy picks where everyone tried to act like a genius? Good size inside mostly. Course, I never pick against Olsen in the first round and most people still refuse to believe he has anything left in him. The guy could take a turd and make it into a Sweet 16 team.

SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 seriously why did alot of idiots here and elsewhere think that arizona would lose to Utah st? was it one of those typical trendy picks where everyone tried to act like a genius? I always thought LSU was the smarter upset special than Utah State. They have the legs to get to the Sweet 16. And so, Session 3 ends with another perfect Session for myself. 11/12 for the day. Session 4 could really mess things up though.

They're 20-10!? They have an above .500 record in the Big XII? For some reason I thought they'd lost more games than that and had an 8-9 conference record. I thought they finished the season 8-8 and then lost to Colorado in the Big XII tourney. Guess I just didn't pay attention to Texas.

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 I just have thought Arizona was overrated all year, and I thought that Utah State was one of the most dangerous mid-majors. They did beat Utah by 25 and then beat Pacific in the finals of the Big West Tourney. Also, the slow-down style they use is the same one that WSU used to beat the Wildcats in Tucson, and nearly pull off the sweep in Pullman. As far as Utah State having the legs to pull off the upset, well apparently I was wrong on that one. I wish I could have watched the game to see what happened, but since I didn't, I really can't say why they lost.
