Feedback for the 03/17 Show

The show was a little on the short side, but overall, not too bad. I would have liked to see a few more segments and a little more hype-up for AngleMania, considering we now only have two more HeldDowns until the big Pay-Per-View. But overall, the stuff that was here was nice, and it did a fine job of setting up most feuds.

Haven't had time to read the entire show yet, but here's a little bit of feedback. Because some is better than none.

 

Zack continues to do a great job easing his character back into facedom. More often than not when a turn happens the person's character starts acting the opposite way almost immediately, like the heel who turns face becomes pussified, and the bad ass face who goes heel becomes chickenshit. Oh yeah, very good promo.

 

$3 for packets of air? Pfft. I get that shit for free.

 

PR's promo reminded me Popick is still Italian Champion. I had completely forgotten about that belt.

 

"Hey, it's Brock Ausstin. And it looks like he has something to say. Does he?" That reminds me of Scratchy's line when Poochie appears before being killed as he returned to his planet. I liked how FM linked Brock's promo to Jackie running out with news of Calvin being down. It's also good to see us finally have a face for our security force. I didn't understand Winslow's role until I read his character specs. I think we used Jim Dotson as head of security for some time, but he faded away.

 

I continue to enjoy the trailers for Prince Killings. I'm interested to see him in action at AM.

 

Another strong promo from the champ, Drek Stone.

 

Loved the hell out of the COD promo.

 

Whoever did the Panther-PR AM promo (I think PR) did a great job.

 

I'm a bit disappointed the Dude-Rodez match didn't take place, as their two of my favorite characters, but the Calvin-Dude stuff was good.

Out of order feedback:

 

That fireworks pic is fugly, girls! I only used it because I was in a rush and it was the first thing that came up on google.

 

There weren’t enough matches. Had I known we weren’t going to have many matches, I would’ve sent in one I saved for times when we’re short on matches. The show was a lil’ short. But that means next week’s show will be incredibly long!

 

Zack got upset when Black stunnered Candie, but didn’t care when Holly pitched her through the entrance doors a month ago. Some boyfriend!

 

Axel’s all emotional and shit. I bet he listens to Dashboard Confessional. Which is cool. Fun mainevent. I think Hillary Clinton is kinda hot. Drek did a great promo explaining why his competition is inferior to him. Logical reasoning to boot. The guarantee that he’ll leave the OAOAST if he loses adds some welcome intrigue to the contests.

 

Where is that Phenom? He stole our 24/7 title.

 

The AM ad was cute. Although I had no idea it was an ad at first. I thought Leon was really being fired!

 

I wanted my Dude/Rodez match! I guess Dude has another reason to despise Cal. Well written fight, I declare.

 

Unlike the N Yeazzy who thinks he’s hard and shit, I thought there was enough hype for AM. The number one contender run down was cool. Although, I would’ve spaced it out over two weeks. Because I’m lazy and it would’ve given me an excuse to not write anything. Writing is dumb. I just wanna get my roll on. The rage in the cage thingie was kinda neat, as well. Plus, The NNMX promo was well done.

Well, when I created the Puerto Rican Championship belt back in 2003, it started off as a vanity belt. But then last year, the week before AngleMania III, I wrote a segment for IntenseZone, where Stephen Popick announced that the Puerto Rican Championship was now an official OAOAST Title. And it's been that way ever since. So, therefore, the Italian Championship is reconized as a legitimate OAOAST Title belt.

 

Great show, this week. I only skimmed through it, but I like what I saw. I'll try to read the whole thing later.

The storyline reason for that is that Black T did it to try and make a name for themselves (even more so) at Zack's expense. The Holly feud was Candie's own doing, plus Zack's had "women issues" the last year or so, remember?

Anyway, really good show guys, props to NYU for putting it together and writing an awesome promo, as I really think he is one of our best promo guys. To Hoff, good Main dude, and I really like how you did the ending.

The contract signing next week should be very interesting indeed. I like how the crowd are slowly starting to cheer Zack again, but not too much after what he did. I also like how zack hasn't really changed his persona at all, he's just the default baby when going against Black T.

 

Good stuff in the PRL/Panther feud again, nice attempt at comedy from PRL with the whole Mr. Boricua thing.

 

Overall a very good show. Feedback is short and sweet because of this journalism essay I'm writing but it will be better next week, as weill my contribution to the show.

Lost in all of this is that a totally harmless poster who rarely even posts outside of the OAOAST was banned because you guys refuse to drop a grudge against a poster who was banned over a year ago. Nice to see some things never change.
