Yeah I saw like 1/4 of the players caught are M's minor leaguers. Were any of em good?

You know, your obviously not going to NOT put your closer in the game, but does anyone beside me think they need to hide Mo away from the Sox once in awhile, or figure out something, because hes faced them so many god damn times, they know how to hit him.

One note about the minor league tests that are missed. These apparently are just results from the Arizona spring training sites.

Not really.

I can't see it doing much good, since the Sox would do the same thing to any other reliever the Yankees place on the mound.

I didn't see the game as I was at school, but how did Pavano look?

Pavano pitched a pretty good game. 7 k's in 6 1/3 of an inning, several hits and 2 runs given up. He should have won but Rivera blew the game in the ninth and Jeter got the game winning homerun.

It we had a guy like Mo was when he setup for Wetteland, sure, but would you really have more confidence in Felix Rodriguez or Tom Gordon? The easy solution is to put the game out of reach by the 7th or 8th, like we did on Sunday. In close games it's gotta be Rivera.

Gordon was good for the Yanks last year.

Your avatar tells me this is sarcasm....

Games: 80

Wins: 9

Losses: 4

Saves: 4

IP: 89.0

Hits: 56

Runs: 23

ER: 22

HR Allowed: 5

BB: 23

K: 96

ERA: 2.21

Not bad for a set up man.

Yeah, but in the playoffs against Boston last year he gave up 10 hits and 6 earned runs in just under 7 innings. Probably due to overuse in the regular season, but the Sox had his number....

What a magnificent start to the world championship defense, guys.  Edgar Rentaria is certainly earning that contract.

More like E6gar.

Brilliant. Five and a half stars. With Smoltz getting rocked, I worry about how Maddux will fare this evening against another ex-Brave, Russ Ortiz.

Gordon was used far too much last year. He had nothing left in the tank by the time of the playoffs.

Who's pitching tomorrow for the A's with Harden getting scratched with his blister?

ESPN.com says Kirk Saarloos.

Full plate tomorrow. ESPN has Boston/NY at 1pm, while ESPN2 has Atl/Fla at 7pm, and LA/SF at 10pm.
