DerangedHermit Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Intriguing lineup the Reds are trotting out today: D Jimenez 2B K Griffey Jr CF S Casey 1B A Kearns RF A Dunn LF J Randa 3B R Aurilia SS J LaRue C Kearns cleaning up? Casey in the three hole? Dunn stuffed back at No. 5? And Griffey batting 2nd?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 4, 2005 Author Report Posted April 4, 2005 The idea is to place Kearns in between lefties, to make it harder on opposing managers.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Griffey's average from last year wasn't that great so I don't think they wanted to stick him in 4th. Dunn also isn't a good choice for 4th. Like I said earlier they must have a lot of faith in Kearns to bat him 4th.
2GOLD Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Welcome back to the NL, Pedro Three run homer by Adam Dunn.
DerangedHermit Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Welcome back to the NL, Pedro Three run homer by Adam Dunn. He fucking jacked that son of a bitch
2GOLD Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Welcome back to the NL, Pedro Three run homer by Adam Dunn. He fucking jacked that son of a bitch And that's understating it. 424 feet....yeah right. Add an extra 100 feet and I might agree.

When healthy, he can and will hit. He posted a .315/.407/.500 line at the age of 22.
2GOLD Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Some anchor woman on Channel 13 in preparation for the O's game said she hopes the Orioles have another memorable season like 1988. The Orioles finished 54-107 in 1988!

The Orioles finished 54-107 in 1988! Maybe she hates Peter Angelos' guts Or she hates the Orioles in general. There was nothing positive about 1988 for the Orioles. Even Cal played like crap that season.

strummer Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Carlos Beltran hits his first homerun as a Met, 3-3 game in Cincy
ISportsFan Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Very exciting time for White Sox fans today -- the first opening day at home for the Sox in 15 years today. Jason
MikeJordan23 Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 *Watches Mets, awaits Cardinals tomorrow*
Vern Gagne Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Lima's been pulled. His final stats: 3 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 3 HR and 2K 15.00 ERA. The brilliance of Tony Pena, not starting Zack Greinke opening day. Jose Lima is a mediocre NL pitcher. Greinke is without question, the Royals best pitcher.
strummer Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Pedro Martinez has struck out 7 Reds in a row
DerangedHermit Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Pedro Martinez has struck out 7 Reds in a row Note to Adam Dunn: do not piss Pedro Martinez off.

When Billy hit a homerun off of you, it was time to question your abilities to pitch in the majors.
Guest LooneyTune Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Pedro Martinez has struck out 7 Reds in a row Note to Adam Dunn: do not piss Pedro Martinez off. I don't think he hit him today, but after that horrible first inning, Pedro was a man on the mission.
Guest Shadow Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 We really should make a "Junior Injury Day" pool. I'm going with July 18th with Torn Bicep.
Brett Favre Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 That Dunn guy striking out is sure hurting his overall game.
Guest LooneyTune Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Don't piss off the Reds, or Adam Dunn will hit a home run in your face.
strummer Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 it's official, the Reds NEVER lose in April Bad loss for the Mets, but Pedro pitched great and Beltran was awesome, so it wasn't a killer. Bullpen needs serious help
Guest Shadow Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 it's official, the Reds NEVER lose in April august and september are a different story.
Guest LooneyTune Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Braden Looper sucks ass. Like it was a surprise.
Brett Favre Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 He had a very good year last year. After today though, they better make that Urbina trade ASAP.
Guest LooneyTune Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Urbina? Pfft... Urbina is even worse.
ISportsFan Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 The White Sox game was very fun to watch. 1-0 Sox win over Cleveland with a great pitcher's duel between Buehrle and Westbrook. Westbrook pitched awesome, but not awesome enough to beat Buehrle's 8 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk, and almost no difficult plays for the defense. Jason
