King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Hard as it is to believe, it looks like Fallout's record might actually get beaten by a title reign even more uneventful than my ICTV reign. On a serious note, I honestly don't know why mine and Todd's match lost. Apart from the fact we were facing W&D and they're able to just go through the motions, produce a 'W&D' match and get the win every time. Me and Zack tried to do something a little different, but obviously, different isn't good enough. I don't know what storyline I'll be able to salvage from this but whatever. Decent tag match, congrats, blah blah. If Raynor can give me and Todd some actual feedback it'd be much appreciated. Todd...you might as well post what you sent in a losing thread match if it'll help get comments.
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 What was different about the match, Landon? I'm interested to know how you approached your tag match. Oh, and maybe we should shut down one of these threads.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Well, I'll give Zack chance to post it up before I say anything. But for one thing, we concentrated a lot more on our storyline.

Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 I'm not sure how you can say that we "went through the motions" or wrote a "W&D match," seeing as how we bascially wrote ourselves to be heels, which we've never done before. Between that and the fact that we provided charcter development by advancing the Johnny situation, I really don't know where you're getting that from. I'll grant that what we wrote wasn't perfect, and was far from our best work, but it was hardly the "same old W&D." Anyway, to rest of the show: Introducing: the littlest guy... ever! And I mean that; I mean, a hundred forty? Even Drea weighed more than that! Solid debut match for Lord David; the pacing was abrupt, but that tends to happen with lower word limits, so that's no pobo. I thought the selling was fine, and did a pretty good job of establishing the character's resilience. I haven't seen his stats yet, so I don't know how strong he's supposed to be, but I balked a little at seeing a hundred-forty pounder win with a move like that. I'm sure that if he's given opportunity to get the move over, however, it'll be all good. And one more thing: I thought that "Word Up" was sung by Cameo? Painfullly abrupt W&D promo I don't comment on my own stuff; it was meant to advance the angle, so I hope it worked. Koran/Sly - not available for comment WC says stuff Again, I don't comment on my own stuff. Archie Griffon says stuff Archie feels good about his tag match tonight; indicates he thinks that he and Manson are a cohesive unit. The next challengers for the Tag Titles? Who knows? Oh yeah... and he's gonna kick Koran's ass. A wee bit violent is this one... Revolution Zero/Griffon & Manson - not available for comment W&D retain against Martial Law And the policy of not commenting on my own stuff continues; but sorry we couldn't make you fellas happy and job ourselves out for you... Toxxic says stuff Ben "Black and Decker" Hardy asks the World Heavyweight Champion for his candid thoughts on the main event, and he expresses his personal bias; he wants Spike, and there's nothing wrong with that. Toxxic is all about the teacher versus student action, and points out that Spike didn't reach his potential until the Champ took him under his wing. :: wonders idly if Toxxic should put spinners on the Heavyweight Title :: And the Number One Contendership goes to... Idle thought #2: Between WC and Mak, the SWF has two of the "unblackest" black men in all of professional wrestling; I mean, what brother wears Oakleys? AND wears a trench coat? Idle thought #3: I was in the fed for over a year before I realized that Francis was black... Nice fast-paced start to the match; even though I'd personally prefer to see guys in my weight class stay in the Cruiserweight Division (just so I'd have more guys to write against), I'm glad that we've got guys that can go in the upper midcard, and not some of the moribound hosses we had before (no offense, guys). Mak makes Spike sing soprano and busts the Franchise Tag on him for pin #1. I'm not really sure what this means: Mak uses the ropes to work over Spike’s arm... But psychology = goodness, so I guess it's okay. Mak hooks on the Cattle Mutilation, but Spike counters into a Dragon Sleeper, and I'm really missing Fugue right about now. Idle thought #4: I still think that WC/Fugue would have been a money fued in the JL, if me and Ejiro hadn't taken over; for that matter, I wanted to do a JL Title feud with Spike, and if I hadn't gotten bumped after MiW, I would have. I consider them both to be wasted opportunities... Third fall opens up with Mak bailing out to the floor to wake back up, and Spike gives chase. Jenkins whiffs on the Yakuza outside, and Mak gets all kinds of mean with the multiple shin breaker... that's just uncouth, man... Hot flash pin sequence near the end, Spike goes for the Ratings Grabber, but Mak gets free and goes all Benoit mixed with Taz... for TWOOOO! Mak hoists Spike onto the top turnbuckle, but... RATINGS CRASH! Both men fight their way back to their feet, and go for Yakuza Kicks at the same time, but Mak gets the better of it, and comes away with the win! I'll do a HOLT report once all the matches have been edited in.
Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Remember when I was booked in a 2/3 falls match against Fugue and completely took him to school on how to write a technically sound match? Well, I do. And Z does. While I'm here, Lord David's match showed a good handle on wrestling, and I'm sure he'll read this show and get an idea of what he needs to do to improve. A very solid first effort, and I'm sure he'll be writing SWF Style in no time.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Back in the day McCheese was 135. And damn it, he did not have a hamburger for a head! It was a large foam mask thing he took off prior to the match.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Yeah show some respect for Mayor McCheese the crucified-but-not-really 'cause then almost year(s) later swerve it wasn't really him being crucified. Ketchup does wonders when you're hovering above the ring, apparently.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 And, I could be wrong, but I think Divey was originally about 140, too.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Wouldn't doubt it, he'd spend 140k on just entrances.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Nope. Just checked. 160 on the old IGNWF stat page from the website. I should come back as Madrac one day. Or Nervous Sheep.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Bring back Suicide! Oh wait, he actually committed suicide... go for Sheep. Or Exploding Chicken.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 I don't know about Chicken. I mean, then, I'd have to shoot Galatea a lot, and G's cool, plus I don't know where he is. Maybe I'll be Angel and start getting world title shots every other week, despite no-showing all the time. I'd have to, though. I mean, Angel actually showing for a world title match? That cannot be!
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Man you could be like old school Jay Dawg and have your computer crash, causing the World Title scene to halt for months on end! But with Angel you can be the focus of every main event then disappear. Oh man that'd rock the cabash. Yeah Galatea's too cool and he's still searching for Thor. No, not the "my IQ is beyond a genius off this internet site" Thor.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Or Silencer. IT'S MY LIFE! Bon Jovi, for a heel badass guy in Prime Evil? That is not right.
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Wasn't IL once 150-160? I don't think its a big deal if a 140 pound man does a pumphandle do-hickey...I mean, I wrote Munich, a 260 pound brawler to a Springboard Shooting Star Press.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Oh God. That was as bad as Edwin's heel turn. *Ducks for cover* Edit: Yeah IL was 195 for the longest time then 155... must've loved his ex-lax. I wanted him to come off as an average Joe but instead he was a walking pole. So, uh, yeah. Edit Squared: I'd have to look back and check but Midjit was originally around 5'4, 5'5"
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Oh stop it, you crazy old people. And incidentally, what was with IL gaining about 3 inches before his comeback this time? Are you channeling Rane, or what?
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Back in the IGN age, we wore yellow onions on our belts. It was the style back then. We couldn't afford white onions, because of the second World's War. So we wore yellow onions, as that was the style back then! Yep, back in two thousand ock-ity..as the great Kaiser Rane took away the number one. We chased him up the hills one day, and tore the onion from his belt, as wearing yellow onions on your belt was the style in those days. *plays a handheld poker game whilst watching Matlock*
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 He picked up the extra height that Outcast shed. Cast seemed to drop some inches and pounds every few months. Osteoporosis is a bitch.

Toxxic 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 IL, I swear he was only about 6'1 last time I was beating him about the Wachovia Center. He's 6'4 now... and even lighter than before. He's more like Anorexic Luchador.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 I wouldn't doubt it. I know I was sketchy about the height but I don't think ('sides Dagda but that never happened) I ever broke the 208 mark. Either way it doesn't matter since it's not something the opponents incorporate into their matches. Those are the ones that get read. Edit: Fuck the weight thing, IL was prolly 225 or something at a given point. Oh and God bless the booming threads that have no content, reminds me of the good ole' days. Edit Squared: Drea, come back as Flink. But not any old Flink. Ready for this? Flink in a penguin suit~! LOLZ!!!!

chirs3 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Feedbackification send, El Maddixadore. I encourage, beg, implore you and Cortez to post your match in the not-quite-winning-match thread. I know it didn't win, but god damn, I loved it. Deciding between it and W&D's was not fun. More comments once I actually read the show, which will be never, because I just picked up God of War. PS2 boobies > SWF.
