Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Thanks to Chris Cash for the following: A petition has been posted online in an effort to try and get David "Kid Kash" Cash on WWE's ECW pay per view in June. This stems from his TNA release yesterday after Cash publicly stated he was tired of the company. Cash had been wanting his release for the last year and due to TNA's taping schedule, was unable to make enough money. He wanted to tour overseas to try and make a little extra money (similar to what Christopher Daniels does), but TNA would not allow him to do that, claiming it was because he was one of their top stars and they didn't want to risk him being injured. This is one of the main reasons he wanted his release and he's hoping to work on the Indy scene enough now to keep him from getting another occupation. If you want to sign the petition for Cash to be apart of WWE's ECW PPV, here's the URL: Kash's Petition
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Signed this yesterday afternoon. WWE needs Kash for the show, and TNA were fools to let him go. Whats that crap about TNA telling Kash he was one of their top stars, and thats why he couldn't wrestle elsewhere? They let Jarret, Styles, Daniels, etc wrestle all over the indy scene, and Kash, who has to bump like a pinball for Apollo, cant even make a few Japan appearances? Bullshit! Guest Coffey Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Eh, I don't really want to see him on the show unless it's against EZ Money.
Guest jumpingbombangel Report post Posted April 22, 2005 I'll sign it, but I would not doubt he's a lock for the show if they're getting people like Axl Rotten (nice guy, but a broken down junkie at this stage in life) to show. ECW guys who can still work = hot commodity for the PPV. What I find sad is that guys like Mikey Whipwreck and the Blue Meanie, integral to the promotion but too wasted these days to get a phone call, probably won't appear. Does anyone even know if Whipwreck has been scheduled for the show?
slimm44 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2005 TNA were fools to let him go. I partially agree with you. He is a great wrestler and good working with the fans. But his mouth kept getting him into trouble. He kept bashing the company every chance he got. Maybe it was his way of getting out. But when he has to complain instead of get over himself and work well with others backstage, it isn't worth TNA's time or money. I would like to see Kash on the ECW PPV and maybe on Smackdown at a later time. But he's determined to be a massage therapist and is winding down on his wrestling career. Guest Fook_Theta Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Signing this petition will do nothing to get him on anything. Unless he has some people to vouch for him and can somehow impress McMahon, he is not getting on anything WWE-related any time soon. He could maybe try to get a dark match but even that would be difficult. Thems the breaks.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Kid Kash was one of the guys WWE asked TNA if they could use for the ECW PPV (including Shane Douglas, Raven, & Jerry Lynn). So, it wouldn't shock me if he's already on WWE's ECW radar.
Guest dropkickguy Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Isn't he signed to wrestle CW Anderson at Shane Douglas' show?
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2005 I dont see all this love for Kash. He was only around for ecws last year. and his lame kid rock ripoff gimmick was kinda poitnless IMO at elast, but he had great matches. what I mean here is, the only guys that can prob work this show well are the guys who werent around in ecw until the end. Guest nokia Report post Posted April 22, 2005 He wouldn't last too long in the wwe... Hardcore Holly & Jbl would've been provoking him every chance they'd get
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2005 Eh, I don't really want to see him on the show unless it's against EZ Money. Top rope Powerbomb into mid air Hurricana counter spot? Is Kid Kash expecting a long term deal or what.....all I see is a future of Velocity matches against Kidman, London, Akio or jobber for the bodybuilder types. Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted April 23, 2005 When I think of ECW, Kid Kash is like the 300th name that comes to mind. I'm pretty indifferent on the whole ordeal.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted April 23, 2005 KAsh isn't the #1 ECW guy (or even close to it), but it's still better than WWE trying to pretend Jericho is an ECW name despite spending only a few months there, 3-4 years in WCW, and now 6 years in WWE. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2005 I imagine the WWE will pick him up eventually, even if it's a one-spot for the ECW show. Here's a quote from the most recent Observer, which I received today: "They are looking at reviving some old ECW rivalries but the idea for the matches is to have the guys wrestle who can put on good matches, and not to do an old-timers thing like a Memphis or Carolinas nostalgia show. The feeling is if you have bad matches with guys who are past their prime, while people may accept it anyway, many will rip the bad wrestling after the fact. It will kill the market for another show. It is being put together with the idea of building for a second show at some point, just as the 6/10 Shane Douglas show in Philadelphia is being put together with the idea to then take the concept on tour, since talks of TNA doing house shows are non-existant... There will be appearances by as many ex-ECW wrestlers as they can find, in some form or fashion, although there are also a few ex-ECW stars who, for whatever reason, there is very little interest in using, with Johnny Grunge of Public Enemy perhaps the most notable." Interesting to note is that Melzer lists RVD, Tazz, New Jack, and even Shane Douglas as guys the WWE might be interested in using - if only to make a cameo on the show. Mysterio vs. Psychosis or Juventud is rumored to take place as well as a possible Tajiri vs. Super Crazy match. The WWE guys on roster who may participate in matches include Lance Storm, the Dudleys, Dreamer, Benoit, Eddie, Spike, Simon Dean, Dawn Marie, Jericho, Heyman, Snow, Rhyno (yes, Rhyno), Psychosis, Malenko, and Nunzio. They are also trying to bring in Masato Tanaka for the show. And, last I heard, Terry Funk was working both the WWE and the Douglas event.
