Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 Ironically enough, tonight I almost commited a hate crime in the theatre against 4 black guys while watching Crash, a movie regarding racial intolerance. If there is a God, he has a sense of humour.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted May 7, 2005 That sounds like it'd make Return of the Jedi absolutely awesome. Unless Episode 3 ends up being the best of the bunch..
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 I plan on writing a note for people to find with me, should I have some kind of stroke or heartattack or something by the end of all of them. I mean, that's a LOT of pot for one dude to smoke in 13 hours, and ROTJ already makes me an emotional wreck for a few minutes after it's over, so I can only imagine how much it'd be amplified by the addition of ROTS to the series and, well, all that THC. Guest COCOPUFFS Report post Posted May 9, 2005 Ive never experienced it much myself, but normally when people were being noisy they wouldn't do it for very long. I do know at one of the theatre's around here they kick your ass out if you are being noisy, and there's usually someone watching for it.
spiny norman 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2005 My worst experience was in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King when I sat in front of an Asian family. Only one of them had seen the previous two, so explained to the others every intricate plot point that had previously occurred. The young children sat behind me, kicked my seat, one got sick of sitting so decided to stand, leaning incredibly forward so I could feel her breathing on my head. With the scene at the end when Frodo kisses Sam, one kid turned to the other and said "Are they lesbians?" and the other went "No. That one's married". The only thing comparable I've experienced was in Titanic when, in the scene wherein they try to avoid the iceberg, someone shouted out "OH MY GOD!!!!! IT'S GONNA SINK!!!!" Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2005 Please, an audience full of black ghetto people is usually more entertaining the the actual movie. Oh, man. Two years back, I was vacationing in DC, and on an afternoon when I was taking a break from museum-ing, I caught T3 in a theater in the train station. I counter three other white people. The majority was black, and the majority of them were dressed like your stereotypical ghetto kids. I noticed, but didn't really pay it any mind, thinking that the audience would quiet down during the movie. Yeah, right. But, here's the weird thing: every tme someone gets physically assaulted, these people laugh. Hard. And then at some of the jokes, they start BOOING, which led to more general chaos, shouting, and then more laughing. I swear, this crowd enjoyed the film as much as any audience could have, and probably don't remmeber a scene. It was awesome. I couldn't even be mad. That sounds like a great time. Guest CronoT Report post Posted May 10, 2005 Well, I had a recent annoying encounter myself. On 5/5/05, Wal-Mart TV got the rights to broadcast an exclusive Star Wars Ep. III "Behind the Scenes" package of Hayden Christensen(sp?) and the work that went into turning Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader. My shift ended right before the package was going to play, so I went over to the electronics dept. to watch it. There was a mom and her two kids in a shopping cart next to me. When I first saw them, they both had the small non-glowing toy lightsabers, and one of them had the plastic Halloween-style Vader mask on. My first thought was, "Eh...", so I forgot about them, and watched the package. After the package was over, they showed a previously un-released trailer for Ep. III. About halfway through the trailer, the two kids screamed some stupid non-sense in Spanish. I then proceded to give them and their mother a very clear "STFU!!!" look. If anything like that happens when I go to see the movie, which I've already bought my tickets for, some dipshit theater idiot is going to need an ambulance. I'm actually a very nice person face-to-face, but if you piss me off, you better run like hell. Guest Nater Report post Posted May 10, 2005 During Blade 2, we had to sit in the very front seating (somewhere in the front 5 rows) and were neighbored by two semi-thug guys. These guys were probably 27+ and should know better than to make stupid, loud comments at the theatre. After about 10 minutes in they were still blasting away. I said to them "hey bud, shut your trap" and the larger one assuming size = power said "oh yeah, i weigh like 350 lbs." .. to which I reply "ffaatt~" he shuts up. During a third theatre viewing of LoTR: Return of the King, I was subjected to a 5 pack of moron teenagers who kept chittering. They were placed conveniently for me at the front row of the back section (there being the floor seats and theatre spaced seats, yes a newer theatre). After a bit, I manage to find my way to the snack bar and buy a drink. I head back and lean on the bar in front of them doing my best Sammy impersonation. I didnt have to finish the drink and they got the point. An instance with young 20-somethings in a 4 pack (2 guys, 2 girls) ended up with my entire batallion having their chairs kicked randomly. My brother, king of the evil-glare-from-hell, gives them a few glances. They make the mistake of kicking my chair. I pop around with knees on the chair and upright point at them and when I'm just about to make a comment they usher out a "sorry." During Signs, a movie that I regret paying for, I had the joy of sitting above some perpetraitors that consistently were playing with their cell phones. My friend quips out a "knock-ed-off" and they pick up just moments later. Me being in a somewhat sick condition, bring up a good haul into my mouth and let it fly. They freak out and stand up, while we remain statue-esque. Suffice to say, I take my movies serious and dont mind getting kicked out for what I believe.
