I think the CE traffic will slow down a bunch (how could it not when the guy with 50% of the posts is gone) and the amount of arguments will definately go down. But since people will be able to post without fear of getting bitched out the quality will definately go up and hopfully some real discussions can start up. That and of course once Cerebrus starts his "shining bastion of dialogue and non-partisan political discussion."

The notion that anyone worth having in CE was scared away by Mike is still ridiculous to me.

A lot of people come to messageboards to relax and have fun, and it's hard to do that if you've got someone who goes around shouting people down and making it impossible to have a decent debate.

If he was able to tear your arguement to shreds, you didn't have a good argument, and it will just be torn to shreds by someone else.

 

Basically what it sounds like is people saying "NOW I can FINALLY say dumb shit without any basis and get away with it". Trust me...you really won't.

 

And Mike didn't make up the most post in CE. He made up the LONGEST post in CE that included quoting everyone that has ever posted on the site and responding. The folder won't change as long as there is something to bitch about in the world.
