Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2005 Excellent show... I'll leave comments for the face trio when I get back tonight, as their match was damn good too. The Storm card will come at five pm EST or so, and you guys will get a bit of a break on due time as a result.
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2005 ...and Danny returns and beats Spike with an axe bomber, conveniently making a mockery of most of the work me and Spike have done to try and build Spike's own lariat as a cruiser-killing go-to finisher. And simultaneously throwing a spanner in the works of us ever getting another match. But then again, if Spike will do a program where he has to beat a former World Champion to get what he wants these risks are kind of inherent... Good show guys, and an especial shout-out to my boyz in the main event who pulled off a great win - pretty good since the last I heard, J3 had never submitted anything. I'll try and comment on n00b's match later if I get the chance.

Ace309 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2005 Not that I want to start a psychology debate, but... ignoring for the moment that the Axe Bomber draws on Danny's elbow/forearm offense, Spike is a cruiser. Spike's lariat is a cruiser killer. Something somewhat fungible with a lariat put Spike down. I don't see the devaluation anywhere in there.
Coffin Surfer 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 Eeek, my first match back and I'm already controversial again. To clarify a few things: The Axebomber is simply a much needed new finisher that fits in with the elbow/forearm offense. The Powerbomb is a good finisher but it lacks the "touch of death" feel that I was going for and the Rolling Elbow works better as a transition move. There was no intentions on my part to disrespect Spike. I didn't know he was building up his Lariat but at least I didn't use it in the match. I think Spike still looks like a contender, afterall he only lost because he underestimated a rusty Danny Williams.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 I'm a-okay with losing to you, Danny. However, would you mind looking over my match in the losers thread and tell me what you thought (how the match was, did I get the Danny Williams character down correct, all that good stuff)? I enjoyed writing you and I thought I wrote a pretty decent match.
Coffin Surfer 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 Yeah, you got my character down right. I thought you had a pretty good match though the two big bumps(Belly to Belly and Exploder) at the finish could have had more value, as is they feel like they are just thrown in for a brief shock. The Ill One 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 May I add that was a damn fine return match too, Danny. I only got a chance to read yours so the rest of the show's comments will come soon.
