Matt responds to Edge/Lita segment

I get what you're saying, basically two negative equal a positive, but, see, I just don't know if I can buy that because all indications point to Matt NOT being a super slut, but rather the settle down with one lady type of guy, where as she is on the FAR end of that spectrum...I never felt that the relationship made sense in the first place...and maybe it was working good for awhile, but leopards don't change their spots...

If that is the case then pretty much every wrestler is the village bike.  You are not going to tell me that Matt Hardy didn't fuck his share of ringrats or coworkers in his day.  That is probably why no wrestlers are too judgemental, cause seriously, we are talking about a group of tall, muscular, sometimes goodlooking, well paid atheletes traveling from town to town together.  With a few honest to goodness good guys, there is a WHOLE lot of fuckin going on.  And at YOUR work place, if everyone was in shape and rich, there would be alot of fucking going on between coworkers. 

 

Lita having lots of sex with coworkers doesn't count the same as it does in the real world.  They are the only people you see for most of the time while on the road.  Of course when you take two good looking in shape people their private parts are going to start exploring each other eventually. 

 

So to say Matt was stupid for getting with Lita is to say that every single person that has ever gotten with wrestler (male or female) shoulda known what was going to happen and thats just not fair.

I think maybe her and Adam really do love each other as well. This doesn't strike me as just casual fucking - from what I've heard they really seem to care about each other

But the guy knows his readership -- he was the one who came out a few months ago about the IWC bashing of Lita's ringwork. For over two years, he had a weekly commentary on a WWE-sponsored site, of which was routinely posted on *this* forum. He, along with a few other workers, are internet-savvy enough to know their target audiences and how he can control them. For example, Jericho "quitting" the Internet after KOTR 2002, or the Orton/Maven altercation outside a bar last year.

 

To call this a "real-life tragedy" is bullshit. To say that Matt was naive enough to believe this story wouldn't go beyond his loyal fourteen year-old fangirls is bullshit, too. Matt has the right to dwell on this if he wants, but he's facing scorn and humiliation by publicly posting his feelings as if he owns a LiveJournal.

If she was caught in a gangbang and thats why they broke up, I see your point. But she got in another serious relationship with someone else. Someone she was around nearly 24 hours a day. Shit happens. I don't think you can say because a person enjoyed lots of sex, they can't be trusted, because people that have had very little sex are more often than not the cheaters when it comes to serious relationships.

Once again, I don't think Matt posted any deails until after his position in the company was being affected. I think he was held back in OVW and that's when this all went down, and then he removed things from his site. Matt was already getting jerked around by this thing, and it was affecting his ability to make a living.

I heard that too but its probably until the dust settles. I know they have their critics for how they went about it but it does seem pretty serious from what I've read.

 

Slightly off topic but on a related note to what I just said, when watching Raw last night, did anyone see their faces after they kissed? If you haven't, you can download it from the Amy Dumas fansite but basically, that is either really good acting or they really do love each other.

 

It could be both but I don't think you can pull it off that welll being in their situation!

This only started to come out rather slowly when Matt removed the Lita pics from his site. Considering something like this isn't too new (Lawler and the Kitty pics), people caught on to what it was all about.

 

Instead of removing them and then being left with having to make an explanation, Matt should have "hacked" his site and had all of the pics go missing. Then, slowly restore the site, but with only newer photos and no personal photos, so nobody would wonder why Lita wasn't in any.

 

Then, at some point announce that he'd broken up with Lita. Hence, the pics are gone, but they'd assume they were still on good terms and would have left most of the pics up if he still had them. Plus, he'd probably be able to get a few sympathy fucks out of one of the random faceless Divas.

 

But hindsight is 50/50, and he probably didn't think before doing it. The point is, he didn't blurt it out immediately after he knew.

I think it's dumb for anyone here to criticize/evaluate/analyze how a man reacts after, 1) he's been cheated on by a long-term girlfriend, and 2) after the affair was pretty much re-enacted on TV. Shark- Oh Tag. Lita can't even read properly let alone act. There is no justification for her cheating no matter how serious she was about Edge. She should have left Matt before sleeping with Edge. I don't care if Matt complains and it is his right to do so, but by encouraging chants it could be a major reason why the WWE went with this storyline. It's f*cked up for the WWE to do it; however, knowing Vince, he will do anything to make money.
