The Czech Republic Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 What's the American equivalent of the Sun?
TheFranchise Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Why are you asking me? You know your own papers.
TheFranchise Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Think a newpaper that has the latest stories and 10% entertainment and great sport coverage.
King Cucaracha Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Apparantly, this woman blames the schools...despite the fact her 11 year old daughter was having sex in the room next to her. Somehow I don't think that's anyone's fault apart from the layabout mother's.
TheFranchise Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 The mother let him stay over in her room. Also, a headline made me laugh yesterday. Big letters 'Grandmother blames the Government'
Zorin Industries Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 I was talking to my uncle about this sort of thing at Xmas, hes an older man, about 75. He said he thought the problem was that theres no shame in this ort of thing anymore. When he was young to be a young unwed mother was a terrible stigma for the girl and her family, nowadays no-one bats an eye and you'll be well looked after if you have a child. I can certainley see his point, and as much as I do agree with benefits in principle I think the system really needs to be looked at.
Sideburnious Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Shouldn't the 38 year old Asian gambling loser go to jail for statutory? No, the legal age for sex in England is 16 so he's alright with the law. Still a scumbag though

My mom grew up in the fifties, and if there was a unmarried teenage girl who became pregnant, the family pretty much shipped her away to relatives out of state (or at least the hell away from their town of residence) until after the kid was born. Frankly, this story would be a lot hotter if those three sisters had been good-looking.
Guest mtu Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Typical lefties attacking the Sun newspaper for their coverage of this story.. if it were the Guardian covering it they'd be lavishing praise on them....
Darthtiki Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Let me guess Derby is the equivilent of the deep, deep south of the US
