King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2005 (edited) Obviously, I'm talking pre-Attitude. And not including ECW, because everyone broke the rules there and that's just cheating. Hogan's the obvious one. Even as super-face, he would break the rules all the time. Backrakes, eyerakes, hitting people with title belts and steel chairs...for such a nice guy, Hogan sure wasn't very nice. Also, the Killer Bees had the partner switch. Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2005 The Hart Foundation (Hitman & Anvil) did a fair amount of cheating, even when they turned face. Mr. Perfect in 1993 was another one who cheated quite a bit despite being an extremely popular face. Just watch him against Bret Hart at KOTR 93.
Guest TheGreatWesuke Report post Posted June 6, 2005 That match was a little different though, they went out of their way to make Perfect look like a heel there.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2005 The Hart Foundation (Hitman & Anvil) did a fair amount of cheating, even when they turned face. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I watched SummerSlam 89 the other day where the Hart Foundation took on the Brain Busters in a non-title match. Still a very good match, but I noticed that Bret kneed Arn in the back while Arn was coming off the ropes and it took Jesse Ventura throwing a fit before Tony Schiavone (!) acknowledged that it wasn't right... Guest TheGreatWesuke Report post Posted June 7, 2005 Speaking of Ventura pointing out The Foundation cheating, he would always make a big fuss over The Rockers and their extensive amount of double teaming. "They're only allowed in there for a 10 count Monsoon!"
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2005 Ric Flair breaks all sorts of rules regardless of heel/face alignment.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2005 Seeing as Dames mentioned Summerslam 89...The Ultimate Warrior cheated a whole lot against Rude. Pretty much a one-off though. He never needed to cheat in his squash matches. Jake bringing out the snake could count as 'playing dirty'.

It's been a long time since I've watched any of my tapes, and that rule never actually comes into play anymore.

Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Hulk Hogan (WWF days) did his share of cheating. Back rakes, eye pokes, etc, and Jesse Ventura was often quick to remark, while McMahon would some how justify the acts.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Anyone remember the incident with Hogan/Warrior after a match against Perfect/Genuis on SNME? Ventura: "I TOLD YOU MCMHANON! THESE GUYS HATE EACH OTHER!" McMahon: "NO! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Ventura: "THEIR EGOS GOT IN THE WAY!" McMahon: "DON'T YOU DARE, JESSE!" I was going somewhere with this. But I'm drunk.
