USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Smackdown's main event "pussy" was waiting to be fucked last year, and it was fucked in a different sense of the word.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I almost hope they don't even show the inside of the building on Heat. I really almost don't even want to see any matches or anything on the pre-show.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I really want to order it but I'm having trouble figuring out how to hookup my VCR through my current digital cable so I can record, now- Anyone have a VCR with AV and coaxil outputs Have a digital cable receiver and a TV with multiple video outputs if so, how do you hook your VCR up to record from the cable <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It should go cable line ---> digital receiver ----> VCR (via AV) ----> TV (via either or) That's how it works with my setup, with the VCR--->TV connected by coaxil
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Why does my new digital cable box that I got today just say "No data" for all the channels when I press guide?
GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Why does my new digital cable box that I got today just say "No data" for all the channels when I press guide? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have to wait for the schedule data to be downloaded. If it doesn't happen within the next few hours, call your cable company and they can "zap" the information to your digital cable box. Usually after power outages you'll see "no data" on the channels. Guest Ransome Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Apparently Dawn Marie will be accompanying Lance Storm. How far is she into her pregnancy ? Kinda self-defeating to have her out there if she can't get piledriven through any tables or anything. Any predictions on which two women will engage in the traditional ECW 'catfight'? Also, will Eddie Guerrero work heel? Will he resort to cutting a pre-match promo bagging his time in ECW, or what? I can't exactly imagine hardcore ECW fans in the arena booing him. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 People booed heels at the Hardcore Homecoming show, but applauded for them after the matches were over. Smarks will still play along for the sake of entertainment.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 What I'm wondering is if the Rey vs. Eddie feud will be referenced on the PPV at all considering both men are working it.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Yeah, it will be after watching SD this week, with Eddie and Benoit.
Guest hhheld_down Report post Posted June 12, 2005 probably a dumb question but how likely will it be that they DONT edit anything on the dvd that will come out soon. I dont think I will get the ppv tonight because i didnt really watch alot of ECW in the past, plus if they screw it up and I end up wasting 35 bucks, im gonna be pissed. the matches look solid sure, and id love to hear what RVD will say but im afraid they will edit some of him out if he says something stupid. any thoughts? Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Because I double posted, I'll note that I finally checked out the ECW Heyman/Dreamer Byte This joint and it was edited when I watched on the 300k stream. I loved how Tommy talked shit to people on the internet and told everyone who would listen about the van.
Guest Deadbolt Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I'm still thinking about ordering the PPV tonight. I've never watched ECW while it was in business and honestly I don't know what to expect. I've seen a lot of Benoit/Guerrero, Mysterio/Psicosis (from 95), Awesome/Tanaka (Heatwave 98), and Tajiri vs Crazy vs. Guido and I LOVED them all and I'm sure that Jericho vs Storm will be great. How is ECW style different from what I'm used to from watching the WWE product?
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 If I didn't have a midterm exam and a case study due tomorrow, I'd probably head to the bar and watch it . . . even though I hate the bar it's showing in.

Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I live in Holland so I can't watch it live. Maybe I could order the webcast but I'd have to be on the computer around like 4:00 PM in the morning, I'd rather not. So I'll find a way to get it but if I could just order it on my TV I would order it in an instant. This is the last ECW PPV ever and it has some kick ass matches on. It'll be a night to remember. Guest Evolution Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Just wanted to add my two cents really quickly: Smackdown did the ECW thing a little better, especially since Cole was helped out by Heyman at knowing who all the invaders were, it was more dramatic on RAW but the crowd was nuclear both times, and it should be no different tonight. I don't know what to expect match quality-wise, but I hope Tanaka/Awesome and Guerrero/Benoit don't disappoint, at least. Other than that, I'm not expecting much from a PPV I'm seeing for free. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I wouldn't bet on it being the last ECW PPV ever if it does any sort of buyrate or sells some DVDs. I actually think ECW circa 1999 was one of the high points of the fed. In fact I'd say ECW's wrestling was better than either the Russorific WWF of the time or the dreary WCW. WCW had a lot of cruiser stuff like ECW did (Tajiri, Super Crazy, Guido, etc) but I think the ECW guys did more insane shit. I keep trying to remember what ECW's PPVs were rated. Were they TV14 like this show? They used to have profanity out the ass, entire promos filled with fucks, shits, etc. One thing no one has addressed is the ring. They are using the smaller ECW style ring (I think WCW also used a similar size). I know Bret Hart used to badmouth WCW for having a smaller ring, but in a way I think the smaller ring HELPS. The action has a crisper, faster edge to it in a smaller ring, whereas the bigger ring makes the small guys look even smaller.
AlaskanHero 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I know that I bought the webcast and I haven't ordered a WWE PPV since 1998. Hell, I never really watched ECW when it was around. I'll probably enjoy this show, so I feel that it will be worth it.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 If they do allow the guys to just go out there and put on the best matches that they can without holding anything back, I wonder what will happen once some of the ECW talent moves to RAW and/or SD to (possibly) continue this angle? Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 No way in hell I'm buying into the concept of letting the workers go out there and just go for the throat. It'd bury the rest of the federation and expose well over 75% of the roster. As much as Vince has a "vested interest" in ECW, the needs of the many (looking competent) outweight the needs of the few (nostalgia inspiring good matches). GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Yeah dude, I'm gonna be cheesed if the music isn't all there. How the fuck would Sandman even make his entrance properly? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that might be why they're rushing the DVD out - they might have only bought music rights for a month and by putting the discs out soon after they won't have to edit anything. But we'll see.
Fro 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 There's a "free for all" show up on wwe.com... no hype for any matches at all, just recaps of the Raw/Smackdown angles and a segment off the "Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD talking about the ECW fans. Hopefully Heat is a lot better than that turd.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I for got they were using the smaller rings, which means the different ropes. Methinks this be a lot of blown spots.
