therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 I got all 4 taken out back in March. The surgery for me only took about 25 minutes, which they put me under general anesthesia for. Recovery was fine for me too, I was only sore for a few days and started eating normal food about 4 days after the surgery.

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 When I was in high school several friends of mine had theirs removed, and were in considerable pain afterward. Then my dentist said mine needed removed, even though I felt no discomfort whatsoever. Being the pussy I am, I kept postponing the appointment where my teeth were to be yanked. After a while my health plan changed and I went to see another dentist for a cleaning. At the end I asked her how my wisdom teeth looked. She said they were fine. Don't believe everything the Big Healthcare tells you...
Cartman 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 Well not everyone needs to get them out but itbecomes an issue with crowding and in my case this morning SEVERE jaw pain. I got one of them yanked out in an emergency visit this morning....can't say it was pleasent by any means but it wasn't THAT bad I guess. I don't look forward to getting the others out though... River City Rocker 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2005 Mine were taken out about ten years ago. Two needed to be cut out, and the other two had already started to come through, which made eating certain foods a pain for a while. One of the wisdom teeth already had a cavity clear through it. I requested to be put out during the surgery, since I had been afraid for years of how painful it might have been. It was a relief to find that I didn't have to be awake for the procedure. All I remember is coming to, and immediately slurring to the dentist that I wanted to see the teeth. They wouldn't let me keep the teeth, though. There was a period where I was told I absolutely had to stay awake, which turned out to be nearly impossible. Once it was safe to sleep, I was out within five minutes, waking up a little while later feeling great. The only problem was, I couldn't stand up too fast without getting a headrush. And I've heard about people being confined to bed for an entire WEEK after they had their teeth removed. Crazy shit. -Ben
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2005 Wisdom teeth pullings pussified all my buddies. Luckily, the dentist told me that I had severe recession on my bottom gum. So, while the fear is w/ me that all my bottom teeth may fall out, I don't need my wisdom teeth pulled. Just gotta brush softer. *Self High FIVE*
